As a Polish-American I would like to research the possibility of attending maybe a match or two of Euro 2012 seeing how Poland would be joint-hosting it. While this is basically a pipedream at this point, since there are no travel packages currently showing on the internet, I am keeping my eyes open in this regard.

I would be looking to travel with a group with the intent being to see a match or stadium or two but maybe a tour of a whatever city that match is playing in, to a much lesser extent as the match would be the focus.

Can anyone tell me first, just to give me an idea, what the average cost to attend one match is in U.S. dollars? I can do a zloty conversion but it would be a lot easier if someone could give me a basic idea. Just to get an idea of how much a match costs, and how much the price will increase due to the hype from this international competition, how much would a match cost between, say Wisla Krakow and Slask Wroclaw for example? Or Widzew Lodz of Ekstraklasa?

Thanks/dziekuje

Hi EURO 2012 will be brilliant. Come to Gdańsk - the city is breath taking, the Tri-City of Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia will blow your mind. As for the football the new stadium in Gdańsk will be one of the best in Europe. The expected prices of tickets should be around $25 - $75. Come over and enjoy Poland!

the best tickets for Widzew Lodz purchased on a game day would cost 45 USD, the least expensive are 15 USD.

I think buying tickets for any Euro 2012 game would be hard and probably involving some lottery. Remember UEFA would give about 20% to each teams fans and some additional 20% would go to UEFA guests. It leaves 40% for open sale. Probably only pricey packages would guarantee a seat.

nice to see tickets aren't nearly as much as I thought. Problem could and will be availability.

They almost never sell out. I've never been turned away :)
