Fabiniak Rzezniczak and Korzym maybe in next 2 years will be good but know only Fabiniak is one of best in his team..

johncarew  May 13, 07, 15:05    #62
cywka will be good.but now i think smolarek
ola123  May 13, 07, 15:55    #63
Fabianski is at Arsenal now :D, who is the best right now? Blaszczykowski on current form definitely but when on top form Jelen is absolutely brilliant shame that he is so injury prone and inconsistent. Oh forgot to add that Kuszczak won his Premierleague medal.

A year ago Szymkowiak was one of the best Polish midfielders,

After seeing Szykowiak in action (and I use that word in the loosest possible way) I was mystified how he ever made it into the national team. Also the BS tactic of focusing on Zurawski was ridiculous.

Matusiak is our brighter star along with Saganowski. That is best player date fot the month of may. We should see them both scoring in both June Euro qualifiers.

Zurawski is usually playing really smart (one of the smartest players on the field i have ever seen, he can make a good manager). I believe Celtic is not a perfect club for him with Strachan prefering quick action. Think he would fit more to slow building up, ala italia. But he can still perform good in both styles. He is today the most complete player in our National Team, no wonder he is captain. Intresting for you that didint know can be that Zurawski at the beggining of his career was playing as a midfielder.

Szymkowiak is a strange player. Sometimes you just dont know if he is on the field, and then from nowhere he can unleash a masterpiece pass. I will never forget (dont remember what competition) national team match when he had ball under his feets on the opposition half, no one to pass in front all well marked, 4 opposition players were closing in, he was keeping the ball, commentary said somthing like "What the hell is he doing?", that was also exacly what i though: "Why is he not passing the ball away? he will loose it!", the opposition players where about to start tackling, he was totally stuck it seemed, bang, Zurawski one on one with the keeper, goal!! I stayed confused and shocked for few seconds (it might be Frankowski cant remember).

Still, there is nobody who can compare in talent and ability to Lato, Deyna, Lubanski, Gadocha, Szarmach, etc.
KTTdestroyer  May 17, 07, 11:35    #69
Ofcourse they can, its just matter of coach. Those you mentioned were seeing as being so good just becouse Kazimiez Gorski maked them play that good. There are several players that can play as good as them, and some have proved allready with Leo at helmet.

modern day my favourite is Jelen, i just like how fast he is and he is doing good service for representing Polish players in the French league.... so much that more and more coaches are coming to scout young players in Poland, that is what i read in a recent interview....

i also like blaszczykowski, matusiak, and ebi.....
ola123  May 19, 07, 07:43    #71
Yes marek Jelen on form is fantastic but recently its very quiet about him. More, he isnt called up to NT for upcoming games. I thinki t was very hard season for him, injuries, new league, no winter break so no suprise that he is maybe a bit off form and better to be left out of the NT so he can rest and prepare for Portugal away :-P

^ it's Irek not Marek; probably confusing with Marek ...Jurek, well know right winger for Catholic Wizards (Torun, underleague 1)
ola123  May 19, 07, 09:26    #73

Jeleń maybe is quick but he was never that good, he played 18 times in the national squad and only scored 2 goals.

Ebi Smolarek is much better, he played 21 times in national squad and scored 7 goals.

Konrad Romanczyk, midfielder/striker at Amica Wronki - any good?

Jelen is awesome, i've watched him play lots..... he can turn the game around with one run, he can carry the ball really well and set up his teammates...... he is a completely different player than ebi.......its not always who scores the most goals, setting up is just as important...... furthermore most of Jelen's time on the nt has been on the wing, while at club he plays as a striker....... Ebi plays on the wing for the NT sometimes, but he also gets a much free role and thus has scored more..... Jelen is a special type of player, one that can be super useful.....

watch some of Jelen's games in the French ligue 1 this year, he was awesome... i think he is coming back to form too, 2 goals in his last 2 games...... 10 goals in the league, 5 in the uefa cup....and thats with all the injuries he has had....

anyways cheers boys, but even if you believe ebi is better (he is obviously better in some aspects, maybe technical ability and dribbling) its not by much......Jelen is also really good, remember against Germany, Jelen and Ebi were like our 2 only outfield players that showed up :(

goalkeepers could play anywhere..in all the leagues goalies work the same...every goalie is good for any league...its not like it is with outfield [players..god...people who dont know much about soccer

I know only two good Polish players - Zurawski and Dudek. I think they are pretty good, but lately I don’t see much Dudek.

BTW can somebody tell who the heck is Rasiak? Once we were speaking about soccer with my polish colleagues and they told me that for them the best polish soccer player is Rasiak. I’ve asked my girlfriend and she just laughed. I know that it’s some kind of polish joke, but can someone explain it to me, please?

Rasiak plays for Southampton

we call him "drewniak" because he is stiff like a tree

in today's game against Azerbaijan Rasiak played poorly as did Zurawski, Lewandowski and Boruc.

And here you got me :/ My knowledge about Polish soccer is embarrassing. But without asking I wouldn’t know, so please forgive me.

I’ll try to catch up, because to be honest last game that I saw with Poles was last summer during World Cup :/

I'm a Auxerre fan and I have to say that Jelen has greatly impressed AJA fans and observers alike. Pace, skills and self-sacrifice!

He displayed top-class performances on the wing but was rather anonymous in the axis! During the winter, he went through back injuries and had a hard time to bounce back!

Yes julien Jelen is top top player, shame that so injury prone and kinda inconsistent. He is rather better on the wing but given the right support he scores great goals playing up top. When on form this player is just pure pleasure to watch.

For next season I have big hopes for Blaszczykowski. Him and JElen are imo the best polish players right now.

So Dudek leaves from being the reserve to one Madrid born goalkeeper so he can be the reserve to another Madrid born goalkeeper ? Hmmmm

Sorry to see him leave, but this move defies any sense of logic.
ola123  Jul 23, 07, 14:37    #86
Actually speaking about polish goalies form Polish NT:

Artur Boruc Celtic
Tomasz Kuszczak Manchester United
Łukasz Fabiański England Arsenal
Wojciech Kowalewski Russia Spartak Moscow
Jerzy Dudek Real Madrit

Just look at their clubs. We have the best goalies of all player no question and while our still playing defender is playing every week in KATAR :D, at least there is alway a classy goalie behind our rather crappy defence. Our goalies would be national pride of any nation. There is one problem though - the goals is just one and we can play only one goalie :(. My bet for best polish goalie is probably Kowalewski.
