Are you talking about players that are from Poland and play in Poland. Isn't Miroslaw Klose Polish? He's a very good player although he plays in the German Bundeslige and he played for Germany in the world cup.

Yes julien Jelen is top top player

ola if Jelen is so good then why isn't he playing in the national squad in the Euro 2008 qualyfing games? Jelen has had his chance before in the national squad and he played 13 games and managed to score only 2 goals.

Jelen scored three goals for Auxerre last week while playing only 20 minutes...
He is coming back to his true self and will definitely come on the pitch again.

There's a funny article in French in which he says that Leo Benakker (spelling,?) probably does not like him very much, but considering that a good half of the national squad never starts games in their respective clubs, and that he himself had become a sub, he would probably be called on again to play for poland

Hei, are you French ? I am ;) I saw the 3 goals of Jelen, hope he'll do the same next matches :P
Jean Fernandez should let him play more often...

THE best Polish -all around player has to be Jacek Krzynowek. He can score, he can pass and he is good in the back.
In my opinion best Polish player of all times is E. Wilimowski , but not many know him or chose to foget him.

The best Polish players ..... players who can be considered World Class ....

One would have to include Tomaszewski, Szarmach, Lato, Deyna and Lubanski.

Had Lubanski not been injured by a dirty cynical foul by Roy McFarland when Poland beat England 2-0 in Katowice , then I think Poland might have got further than 3rd place in Germany World Cup 1974 - Poland only lost one match in the whole tournament, Lato finished top scorer.
The game which Poland lost was against West Germany and should never have been played as the pitch was totally waterlogged ; the Germans wanted the game to go ahead as the conditions negated the pace of Poland's wingers Gadocha and Lato.
On a dry pitch I believe Poland would have beaten the Germans ... we'll never know :o(

Boniek was World Class, and again he was missing in the crucial semi-final against Italy which Poland lost 2-0 (World Cup ’82), but Poland finished in 3rd place after beating France 3-2.

Players in the present Polish squad who I feel are World Class are Boruc, Krzynowek and Ebi Smolarek

You can't be serious.

Dudek is the only player from the current generation that can be listed with players like , Boniek, Deyna, Szarmach, Lato, Lubanski and Tomaszewski.

Boruc has a while to go before considered world class, we'll need to see how he handles a much much better league then the SPL. Ebi and Krzynowek aren't world class either. They are good, but not world class. Ruud van Nistelrooy, Ronaldinho, C.Ronaldo... these players are world class.

have to disagree ..... Dudek was an excellent keeper, for Liverpool as well as Polska !

unfortunately he made a few well publicised mistakes in crucial games for Liverpool; keepers will always be remembered for their howlers !

what about the save he made in the Euro Champions Final in the last minutes of extra time from Shevchenko ....... world class save !!

You're talking about the lucky shot that Ricardo missed, then hit the post and bounce back at Ricardo's back and into the goal.....

Best Polish soccer player?

Hopefully me in the near future. :]

Not to be smug, but I'm pretty good and I'm not going to quit until I get accepted into a proffessional league. I'm a stubborn bastard according to my father so I'm gonna make it on skill or determination. Not taking no for an answer. It's not even an option.

:]

So, those who play now, I'm gonna have to go with Boruc as being Poland's best rep. as of today. He's just a beast between the pipes.

Boruc has already shown he is world-class. He has played in the UEFA champions league against all of the top teams, has played in internationals and at the world cup. He has handled all that has been thrown at him with style. He is one of the top 3 goalkeepers in the world right now and is at the age where he can only get better.

I think Jelen and Blaszczykowski are the best polish players, and they still have great potential. Smolarek is in lights cause he scores, but Jelen, if he played forward, could be even better. I hope he will be in the squad for Euro2008.
