I think Jelen and Blaszczykowski are the best polish players, and they still have great potential. Smolarek is in lights cause he scores, but Jelen, if he played forward, could be even better. I hope he will be in the squad for Euro2008.

I hope too, i don't know where you're from Julianek, but i'm French and i see that Jeleń was really good in last matches at Auxerre. He scored a hat-trick lastly in a Cup game ;)
Błaszczykowski, apart from his unpronounceable name for foreigners (i must applause here some English football commentators who did pronounce it well, almost perfectly) showed some interesting technical skills on the field. I don't know much about him, just that he plays at Borussia Dortmund...

Dudek was a great goalkeeper.... no arguments there .

Haven't seen him play recently ... but then again he's a reserve at Real Madrid ?

Whether he's one of the best keepers today is highly debatable :o) ... if he was he'd be in the starting eleven of one of the top clubs in the world.

Boruc and Kuszczak are both better than Dudek and there's no sense to keep a guy in this age as 3rd goalkeeper...

I know he had some problems when he was at Liverpool .... if he'd have gone to a club where he'd be automatic first choice then we'd be in a better position to compare :o)

I do indeed :o)

I got a little over excited. Similiar to when he cheekily lobs the opposition goalkeeper.

Class player, all the skill in the world, just has a tendency to get a little lazy which is why he isnt playing in the English Premiership.

Without any shadow of doubt Artur Boruc, AKA 'The Holy Goalie' . . . he hates the huns Ye ha!!!!!!!!!

I agree, Boruc is superb and he has extended his contract with Celtic but there was no need to mention religion. Gazza got rapped on the knuckles for doing his flute gesture to Celtic fans, it was seen as direct provocation. His credentials as a goalie are separate from any religious beliefs he may have

Thats what I mean, back in the day Boniek was the man.. unfortunately for Poland, there hasnt been anything since.. or any success in the soccer program

which is very frustrating for a Polish guy surrounded by Italian and Portuguese friends, I only with once in the near future Poland could pull off a miracle so that I have something to cheer about with my friends lol

maybe this Euro cup, the qualification was good, lets just hope its a better outing that the world cup.

i don't think anything good will come out of Euro cup for PL... it's not even fun to watch their games anymore... i don't know what PL needs more, better player, better coach...or better what...?
Boruc is good....but honestly i think that he is more cute than good... well, we'll see...

Poland needs to invest more money into the soccer program, developed players at young ages and hopefully have a better outcome in the future, something all the good countries are doing, however getting that money is a whole nether story.

I think Poland is a descent team for what they have, but they cant compare to teams full of stars.

yes you are right. money and football love in the country are the basic factors to develop football.

Boruc just now, without a doubt, is one of the top 3 goalkeepers in the world. He is world-class.

The whole mention of religion came about because rival fans reported him to the police for blessing himself, he got a police caution for "antagonising fans". It's astonishing in this day and age that someone can't bless themselves without having the police called on them...

Making the sign of the cross is totally different to an ape mimicking a hun with a flute. :))

Exactly, my point was that Gazza got into shi* for that but making a sign of the cross is even worse. I just get to thinking, how do football players live in cities like Glasgow, Rome or Milan where ur rival fans could just knock u out? Does Boruc wear a balaclava when he goes shopping? I'd constantly be on edge

Neil Lennon had a hell of a time in Glasgow. Constant verbal abuse, graffitti daubed over his car/flat, dog sh!t through his letterbox, his parents in Lurgan got death threats and he was forced to give up the captaincy of NI when he signed for Celtic. He generally avoided going out in Glasgow city centre at night!

Wasn't it Lennon who wrote, 'Give Peace a Chance'? hehehe. Poor guy, the needless torment he had to go through. He did no wrong. For me, it is worse to defect to ur bitter rivals, sth Roberto Baggio and Luis Figo did. Oh, and Ashley Cole, that sad excuse for a human being.

Boruc the goalkeeper - Superb, possibly the best in Britain on his day.

Boruc the man - Total W*nker, he must remember who and where he plays, Glasgow is a small city.

As for top Polish players i' d say that the current team has a better chance than previous ones, great manager and a good mix of young and experienced players who have played across Europe for "Big" clubs.

And BTW Mon the Caley!!!!
