Where to buy cross country skis in Tri-City area and where are the closest trails to ski?

I just moved to Gdynia and would be interested in getting myself some cross country skis and get out on some trails. There is plenty of snow.

Anyone have any advice where to look or know of anyone? Second hand would do just fine as well.

there are no maintained ski trails around Trójmiasto from what I can gather - if you live in Gdynia just buy a map of the city - you will see plenty of forest on the hills and actuallly a lot of dirt roads there - take your skis up the hills and voila

there are some suggested traisl around Oliwa (which is already in Gdańsk) - you would need to get there by train (SKM - the suburban train) first - it's just as it is - no maintanance - the easy one is here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/20405256@N00/82143903/#/photos/grupatrojm iasto/82143903/lightbox/

their own brand stuff is the cheapest and really good

bathes in the knowledge that once again he has helped his fellow man

Thanks for all the helpful answers.

or the equivalent at the sports shop in the Batory mall for 1350 PLN (skis + bindings + boots + poles), so I will most likely go with it.

Anyone up for hanging out? We could hit the nearby trails if u are up for it :)
