I will second Decathalon. The biggest is in Piaseczno- it has two floors --you could easily spend a day in there trying out the roller blades, ping pong, basket ball and golf- there are places set up to try but some of the locals will hang out there all day.

Decathalon across from Blue city is also good.

Decathlon is not always the cheapest. If you are looking for ski equipment there is an outdoor ski market near the junction of Sikorskiego and Sobieskiego. Then of course you have allegro.pl.

It depends what you are looking for?

Piaseczno is just past Ursynow and Kabaty on Pulawska heading south.
What exactly are you looking for--maybe there is a better option than a big box store.

Try Auchan or the public markets

I wouldn't cheap out on the shoes- and nike or adidas may not be your best choice depending on your foot size. New Balance is supposed to be good for running.
I agree with trying Auchan --but the grocery stores usually have their sports stuff out seasonally. Your best option is probably Decathalon or Go Sport. You can also try Fashion House in Piaseczno- just past the Auchan and across from Decathalon in Piaseczno. Fashion House is meant to be a sort of outlet- they will definately have good selection there and the prices are cheaper.

New balance normally have there walkathon once a year and give out free training shoes for trials, if he is that cheap he can always wait until next June/July lol.

Pip, intersport normally have discounted training/running shoes in late Dec/Jan, you have probably been there.
