Hi,

to those who don't know me or have ever spoke to me, i live in England and one oft he big sports is Cricket, which i play on a regular basis. Our team are looking to tour somewhere that does not really have a strong association with cricket, i just wondered if Cricket went on in Poland and if so what part of the country??

It would be good if there are teams in Poland for our team to tour, we just feel it would be a great experience both visiting Poland and playing cricket in a different country that isn't one of the member states of cricket.

Any information would be helpful, thats if there are any Polski Cricket fans out there. just to give you a taste of what Cricket its below is a little video of what i perceive to be the best delivery ever bowled by the best bowler in the game ever!!!! Shane Warne

Hopefully if our team tours Poland we could find the new Shane Warnski :)

It certainly exists in Canada! Google it! :-)

Its probably not to popular on TV but I believe, as a sport it is relatively popular in Canada. Obviously I don't live there so my knowledge is second hand.

I think Cricket is second in Canada and America to Baseball, the two sports have many similarities but also many differences. People who do not understand the game of cricket call it boring, but thats because usually these people don't understand the rules or don't want to give the time to sit and watch a game.

It's moments like in the video above that make cricket special, an individual at the top of his game.

thanks for the info
-im one of those people who would rather go out and play the sport with a friend than watch it on tv anyways so it doesnt really matter
baseball- i just dont like it... cricket seems more interesting from the video above :)

canada seems to have a canadian cricket assosiation
amazing how much you can learn from this forum

Ah the sound of willow striking leather faintly heard over the warble of the greater white nosed Australian's distinctive sledge call.

Love the sport.

What team do you play for Tornado?

Tour to Poland 1 day with your feet up in the pavilion and 4 others enjoying the delights of the city. Do you need someone to carry drinks? :)

Yes Canada are one of the newer teams in Cricket, i have seen them in the last two world cups and they seem to have been improving all the time, they have a few specialist players who could actually play at county level (England) or State Level (Australia) i hope they continue to improve so that it encourages other teams around the world to join in and play.

I play for a team in Wales, even though i'm English!!!! I was going to play at County level but due to my University commitments i had to drop a level due to the training commitments etc i would have had to keep to. Do you play Hueg???

Hay we always need somebody to carry the drinks!! LOL :)

I never heard of cricket being played seriously in Poland, we've got some exotic sports dicsipline here, with only a few clubs (like baseball and sumo, rugby is a little more popuar, but still at a low level), but I gamble on saying that cricket and American football is a big no-no here. And I read sports news quite carefully every day, they totally neglect cricket which means noone is interested. Sorry

House is a medical Drama about a doctor who specialises in unsolved and serious cases. I find it very interesting and have watched nearly all three series.
