Can anyone tell me if there is any weekly coverage of the English premiership on Polish TV? I know you can get the games on Sky/Setanta/etc., but is there any "Match of the Day" or RTE "The Premiership" round-up type programme?

Cheers

As far as I know, you can see only Eufa champion league in TV2 when its season starts. FOr premiership, I watch it from home cable (Cyfraplus). It's not expensive and it's really worth dude.

Anyway, I am an expat here. Maybe my info is wrong. Better waiting for a comment from Polish. I did have a same problem when I first moved here since I am extremely addicted to English football.

Canal Sport and Canal Sport 2 carries some weekly Premiership, Spanish Liga and Italian league games every weekend. You'll have to get Cyfra+ satellite to get those channels.

edit* Didn't reallize you just wanted TVP. Nope there aren't any games carried on that except for the Champions League games, those are limited as well. I'm not sure about Polsat though. Cyfra+ doesn't carry Polsat.

This site (veetle.com) will be showing live premiership football throughout the season.
I watched the England game on it the other night and I have to say I was really impressed with the quality. It is in beta mode at the moment and there are a few small bugs in it and it is limited in channels, but it can only get better. Go to the site install the software and what I did was to link it to my wide-screen TV by bluetooth (or you can just use a normal cable), and it was just like watching normal TV :)

If you want to watch on the net, the best site I know of is myp2p.eu , you'll need to download some applications to use it, but it's a great option if you have the net connection required.

used to be, but it's getting very buggy at the moment with TVU sometimes working and sopcast keep on going off line, there are much better quality broadcasts out there if you do a bit of searching.
I personally think over the next year you will get more and more sites offering HD live broadcasts over the net, as with the last couple of years it has increased tremendously, justintv, joost are examples; however, joost doesn't broadcast live, and this is it's biggest let down.
Another one to watch out for is tvcatchup, it was taken off the air in February by the BBC; however, it is back in beta mode at the moment broadcasting live terrestrial TV and the format looks dam good.

English premiership football on Polish TV:

Don't watch to much Polish football fans or you might get addicted to real football and never go back to watching your own league :) (kidding)

Brings up an interesting point though, how are clubs around Europe, Poland etc ever going to get bigger while the big clubs continue to dominate

English Football on TV

Hi, I'm moving to Poland in 8 weeks and I know that one of the things I will miss will be Sky Sports and premier league footy. Does anyone know how to receive english football coverage in Poland or any english channels. I have a satelite dish and equipment already. Is it worth it to take it to Poland? any suggestions would be helpful. Also if anyone knows how much it costs to receive these channels by subscription I would love to find out as I'm looking forward to experiencing a new culture but I dont want to leave english football behind.
