Exactly one year left :)))) Your expectations, is your team already in, is your country not playing, but you are still happy to see the football in all its beauty and internatinal friendship, visit new places...? Ukraine and Poland have much to offer for people of different tastes and interests. That June of 2012 will be the best :) What about our friends from other continents? Are you coming or what?

That's really nice to hear, BB. German team always provides an awesome game. I heard on radio a bit of the direct translation of the match with Azerbaijan and there was so much yelling that I didn't know who is kicking whom or what ;)

Absolutely. Besides it will be warm summer days, so beer will flow in rivers - promised :)

I hope Poland does well and will of course be behind them. If they drop out then its any Slavic nation after that. I can see myself cheering for the German team though.

It's looking pretty good. Don't think we can get past the dutch, but we are in good position to be the best 2nd placed team.

1 Holland 6 6 0 0 21-5 18
2 Sverige 6 5 0 1 20-6 15
3 Ungern 7 4 0 3 18-13 12
4 Finland 6 2 0 4 11-11 6
5 Moldavien 6 2 0 4 7-9 6
6 San Marino 7 0 0 7 0-33 0

I am amazed at this group B:

1 Republic of Ireland 6 4 1 1 11 6 5 13
2 Russia 6 4 1 1 9 4 5 13
3 Slovakia 6 4 1 1 6 4 2 13
4 Armenia 6 2 2 2 10 7 3 8
5 FYROM 6 1 1 4 5 8 -3 4
6 Andorra 6 0 0 6 1 13 -12 0

I mean what the hell is wrong with eastern European countries and soccer?

Russia is struggling with Ireland and Slovakia :|

Russia is not Eastern Europe, it is western Asia :) I have no idea why FIFA makes this exception for Euro soccer championship. It is not a World Cup or transcontinental competition or anything like that. And Ireland and Slovakia are great teams. Have you seen Slovakia in WC2010?! My best wishes to them to come through.

A special press conference was held in Kyiv to celebrate the occasion with international media, key figures from UEFA and some of the Ukrainian public and football authorities all in attendance. UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino underlined the mood ahead of the final tournament's first visit to central or eastern Europe, saying: "We are absolutely positive that UEFA EURO 2012 in Poland and Ukraine will be a success.

World heavyweight boxing champion Vitaliy Klitschko has urged people in Poland and Ukraine to 'join the action' when recruitment for UEFA EURO 2012 volunteers starts on Tuesday 14 June.
"I know many people expect a miracle from EURO 2012, but it will not happen unless each of us contributes to the success of the football festival," said Ukrainian UEFA EURO 2012 volunteer programme ambassador Klitschko. "I encourage young people to join the UEFA EURO 2012 volunteer programme. Let's showcase the real Ukraine to the world together – a wonderful country with warm and hospitable people."

Poland too has warm and hospitable people. I don't know, but it seems that Poland and Ukraine rule :)

You mean Northern Asia...

Anyways who cares .... I wonder how Poland will perform. In any case I would like to see Spain take the cup.

Why? They've already taken the WC, LC and now you want them to take EC? No way :)

I always thought these Sarmatians are everywhere :))))
Anyway, I am very curious how all the fans will drag their luggage over the Chinese parts of the A2...or try to get from the airport to Warsaw city centre - yes I know the railway connection is supposed to open "soon". Let us be optimistic :)

So, after all the talk about friendship and stuff, you openly admit that you dream about
another German victory on Polish soil, eh? I'm really dissappointed, BB ;)

Hmm? Was is it a mistake or you, Torq, also seem to be dreaming about some victories? ;)
*verifies whether the final will be in Kyiv. Yes. Ok. Looks whether there is some Polish soil there. Nope. Not a single grain* ;)

Nathan, Nathan - how many times one has to explain things to you? You need to finally accept
the fact that all former Rzeczpospolita provinces are basically Polish lands. Not in political sense,
of course, but in a more universal, civilizational and spiritual sense. Embrace your Polishness, Nat ;)

Your wife is Polish? ... well next time she is adamant saying that Poland will win, tell her to get real. Well I'm a Pole too but really ... truth is truth ... we are not that good enough when it comes to this game.
