Spain are an ever-present threat but my money is on Germany this time round. It's their time.

Easier group, not easy. Rumour has it that the Serbian Ultras will be in attendance. I wonder what stance they will take if flare-ups occur between their beloved Slavic brothers. They have a good relationship with Greece too so, if I were Serbian, I'd stay home.

Their fans are rallying for Greece and Russia games,so it 'll be fun to watch confused serbian fans at greece-russia game.I think they'll go for Russia though.
Seanus:
Russia

The Czech Republic

Poland

Greece

I'm quite positive that team who beats Greece will be on top of the group, maybe 0-0 with Russia and Czech and Poland is in second round.I hope so.

It is not fair to trivialize the success of Spain. Catalania is in Spain and Catalans are playing for Spain willingly and successfully.

We do not want another Yugoslavia case in Europe. If possible you unite again ( I know it is impossible :( )

Catalonia is an autonomous community with the official status of nationality in Spain with own language, but it's interesting how Europe's finest footballers come from this relatively small region comparing to rest of european football ''super powers''. Only 7.5 mil people.Amazing.
espana:
torres has juan mata ,an international spanish player from burgos, ,,,,,who needs mordic when they have mata??

Midfield - Central Midfield-Modric
Mata-Striker - Left Wing
You lack basic football knowledge man!BASICS!
Mata's job is to score goals,Modric dictates game, scoring isn't his job.
Although Mata scored 4 goals in 16 matches,so not really godd attacker,as you said in Chelsea my grandma should score.Your words.mate...
espana:
you beat serbia in eurovision and sush

????
Really man?Well your knowledge of gay sing competition tops your football knowledge,I give you that.
Back to topic...

I like Netherlands style of play, offensive.I think they'll win it.Or Germans, they're strong this year.

So they want their Slavic brothers, Poland and The Czech Republic, to lose to Russia and Greece? They go along religious lines and not Slavic brethren?

How do you think Croatia will fare, blackadder?

Well plan is to beat Ireland, play draw or beat Italy and then Spain game wouldn't matter.
We hope Italy and Ireland will complicate things among themselves.Ireland's game is most important. We can beat Italy,we never lost from them in 15 years, beat them few times, even famous 2006 generation,in friendly match to be perfectly honest, but stil...
I'm glad our coach said we will play offensive and Croatia is very good against stronger teams.
Reality is we will fight for second spot with Italy, but who know,Ireland is tough team...All hopes are on Modric,he's got to be great like in Tottenham and attackers must do their job...and we will go to second round surely.

I think you will draw with Ireland and Italy but Spain will edge you out by a goal. 2/9 points but Croatia have traditionally been the dark horses and could amass more points than 2.

you are wrong , mata didnt play at valencia as a Striker. he operated down the middle as an attacking midfielder.

blackadder:

Josep Guardiola (1971–), retired FC Barcelona and Spain midfielder, currently head-coach of FC Barcelona.
Carles Puyol (1978–), FC Barcelona and Spain defender[quote=blackadder]Joan Capdevila (1978–), Villareal CF and Spain defender
Xavi Hernández (1980–), FC Barcelona and Spain midfielder
Víctor Valdés (1982–), FC Barcelona and Spain goalkeeper
Gerard Piqué (1987–), FC Barcelona and Spain defender
Cesc Fàbregas (1987–), FC Barcelona and Spain midfielder
Sergio Busquets (1988–), FC Barcelona and Spain midfielder

guardiola is a manager , he doesnt play for spain
puyol , he is to old now .
capdevila , to old and fat
valdes , casillas always will be the first choice

5 players from cataluna will go to the eurocup , and one is not playing . (nothing amazing for me)

blackadder:
.All hopes are on Modric

if this guy is that good,,,,,why he play for Tottenham??

blackadder:

Not my words, espana.

Spurs are a top side in one of the elite leagues in the world, simple! Sometimes you play for a 'slightly' lower team to be guaranteed of a game.

I hope Robben won't be injured,in my opinion he is finest football player around, I like him more than Messi and Ronaldo...too bad for his ''knees of glass''

Agreed. I like his style a lot. Hopefully he will be able to play, if not - Netherlands will be in big trouble.

Well traditionally we take at least 1 ''big scalp'' on every tournament. So now it will be Spain or Italy.

Italy never beat Croatia in history, but lost 3 matches.
We defeated Germany few times in tournaments, last time on Euro 2008.I almost passed out of drinking and celebrating that night lol

Anything is possible really.I think we will fight for second spot and qualify, but last place is possible just like first place in group so...we'll see.If players will play like against Turkey we can beat Spain and Italy.
We're stubborn basta'ds and we refuse to give up.You can't imagine how much those matches mean to our nation, unlike Englishman who love their clubs more than national team.
We just need proper replacement for this guy, golden boot of WC 98'

Peter Schmeichel once said that Suker was his worst striker nightmare on pitch in whole of his carreer.I like how he give thumbs up to Suker for good effort on the end of the video...

Davor Suker and Alen Boksiĉ had that predatory instinct for sure. Who do Croatia have now that can match them? My 2 favourite Yugoslav players in MF were Jugoviĉ and Prosinecki :) Serbian and Croatian respectively. I also liked the Macedonia, Pandev. However, Dejan Saviceviĉ was sth else. A true joy to watch. I'll be looking for some of that talent from Croatia.

Yeah,Savicevic is Montenegrian.Boban,Prosinecki,Jugovic,Mijatovic...Great generation.I would say lost generation of World Champions.I don't think this is exaggerating,Croatia was 3 rd in WC 98',with that players we would surely win.
France won over us narrow 2:1 in semifinals, and crushed Brasil 3:0
Modric is very talented midfielder, among best in Europe today. His style is modern and unpredictable,Ferguson,Villas Boas, Guardiola... speak very fondly of him.
Ferguson thinks he's best player in Premiership
http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/What-The-Papers-Say/2011/Ap r/Papers-Modric-is-fergusons-top-man.aspx
Word is that Chelsea prepares 55 mil Euros for him,we'll see.
Ferguson says 40 mil euro, but I think he'll have to give more than that to top Chelsea offer.

Modriĉ had better stay at Spurs. Why sit on the bench elsewhere? I hope he showcases his talent in the summer of 2012. There's nothing quite like watching a flair player.

URGENT ADVICE

Thinking of spending money at the Euro?
Then exchange for zlotys now. Come June you will get the lowest rate ever, and I don,t mean by a few measly groszes.
I estimate you can lose between 50gr - 1zloty.

Lowest rate ever?

I have my doubts. It's sitting at 4.11 / Euro. Can't see it going below 3.2 somehow.

Nice hyperbole, but the only place you're going to get less than 3.2 is if you approach the dodgy bloke with the shaved head and leather jacket in the 24 hour 'joker club' and ask him to escort you down a dark alley to change some cash.

Are you a gambling man ?
Fancy a bet ?

Today 1GBP = 4.92 PLN. ......... My guesstimate June 2012 1GBP = 4.3 PLN or less.

THE HITMAN does have a point here, why not when you can.
