When a player born and raised and footbally schooled in Germany decides against the country which gave him all that and prefers the country he only knows from holidays then I have to accept it.
But to moan openly about another much more honorable player who correctly says he has to give back something to the country which treated him so well is...sorry...unter aller Sau! :(

I hope the Altintops get their punishment in the next Bundesliga game!

You mean red card. lol

I am of the opinion that this thread has gone off topic. The thread is about Euro 2012 fixtures

Even though Kiev may be older it just isn't as cool as Warsaw and it is in Ukraine after all

Have you been to Kiev? I doubt it :) Kiev is cooler than L'viv and L'viv is very cool :))) From London to Kiev it is 3 and 1/2 hours flight. From Poland you can even use bikes to go to the matches. It doesn't matter what field you will be losing on anyhow, as you said, but along the way you might as well see the city, visit museums,...I was in Warsaw twice, unfortunately, only on a trainstation or an airport :(, but here comes the opportunity to see more.

And then there is that part where the Polish team ought to play on home field in the final. Of course it won't be against your country but another European team. It doesn't matter who it is. It just matters that Poland wins. :)

Hey, good luck with your prediction (just kidding ;). Can you imagine the hype of Polish fans to win Euro 2012 and nowhere else as Ukraine's capital and beat not the "usual suspects to win", but the old love/hate pal across the border :)

Man, as much as my years in good ole Polska pulls me to disagree with you, Kiev is an awesome city.

Glad you liked it. There are plenty of marvellous places to visit and enjoy be it in Poland or in Ukraine. Hope Euro 2012 will bring many people not only fans (car-burners and beer-goblers as myself), but also those who like art, architecture and simply fun :) There is so much to discover!

PZPN Chairman, Grzegorz Lato said he’s very pleased with a visit of such a noble guest. “I’m sure this Platini’s visit to Poland was not his last. We are playing Germany next year, at the Stadium’s opening celebration and it’s going to be a beautiful event” - added Lato.

Germany feels honored! :)

Well, same here, BB... however, I still think we should invite San Marino, put 10 past them
and have a nice stadium opening ceremony. ;)

See, the problem there is in Polands current form..there is a risk of something terrible happening against San Marino :(

Hmm... good point. I guess we can try to bribe San Marino to lose ;)

I wonder how much they got for this game...

Haha, not at all. They were looking pretty decent against Ecuador.
