I'm pretty sure Poland will be on top 3. The goalkeeper is extraordinary.

We're playing well, but there is still room for improvement, especially in penalty
shots. Concentration in key moments needs to be better as well - there were
too many inaccurate passes and missed 1 on 1 shots.

*We're still going to win the Championship though. POLSKAAA, BIAŁO-CZEEERWONI!*

Poland vs France 24:29 (10-15) (yesterday)

An easy win for France that was.. They took the lead 3-0 quickly and Poland never looked likely to come back.. Mind you, France are current World Champs and Olympic title holders.

Well, that defeat meant qualifying to World Cup for Poland without qualifications
(if we won and Spaniards qualified, we would have to take at least 3rd place to
qualify), so maybe we should wait for the final to see which team is actually better ;)

I wouldn't worry about that loss to France... Had Poland had a few extra minutes, and not played so reckless late in the 2nd half, they still could have come back and won.

I think you will see a better example of Poland's class against Croatia tomorrow :)

Poland - Croatia/Norway 21-24

The refereeing was abysmal. You just can't win the game if every second
of your attacks ends with an "offensive foul" :-) I hope Polish referees will be
appointed to Norway's games to repay those cheaters for what they did today.

Having said that, and putting the appalling refereeing aside we lost the game against
a statelet the size of two vojvodships and a population 9 times smaller than ours, which
itself is a bit of a shame.

We could have won that even despite the "refereeing" but I can't blame our boys
that they were nervous seeing as they were being cheated so impudently and openly.

You guys should try to learn this is hanball, not kung-fu tournament. No wonder u had so many, not just offensive, but defensive fouls too. Your guys played like butchers. When you loose it's always referees fault, ist it? Croatia was better.

Lol, ashamed u lost? Croatia was always in handball top, so simply ignore how much it is smaller than Poland.

Gg's

No. But when referees come to our coach after the game and apologize for
refereeing then I guess they admit it themselves.

I find it ridiculous when so-called referees guard the score all the time, hand
the victory to our oponnents as a gift and then come to our coach and apologize.
What a nonsense!

You must have been watching some different game :-)

Basically - you were given this victory by referees. I don't hold it against
you. You just took what you were offered. Poland beat Norway during last
World Championship and ever since then norwegian referees are openly
against us. That was admitted after the game even by neutral journalists
and supporters.

Perfect example of one sided refereeing - especially in the end of the game
and mistakes admitted by referees themselves. Simple as that.

time means:
Hmm, i seem to remember a nailed on penalty in the euros and you guys blamed the ref for your exit.

Did you watch the game today, TM? This cannot be compared to a single mistake,
a single penalty. Here the referees were guarding the score all the time - those
weren't mistakes, it was done on purpose which is obvious for anyone who knows
a little bit about handball (unless he is a Croatian supporter :-)).

My father used to play handball himself in highschool and at the university,
knows a lot about the game but even he says that he has never seen such
"refereeing" in his life.

The problem is that it was EC semi-final. Such things just shouldn't happen,
it's killing the sport :-/

It's not that bad - we won the European Volleyball Championship last year :-)

But you're right, something should be done about the condition of sport in Poland;
some nationwide promotion campaign, government investment programs - stuff
like that.

Good that we don't have to fight Croatia in the finale...our players might get hurt!

(We knew that before that's why we lost all our games, so)

Yes, bring back communism! :)

Those were the glory days. State financed sport... It's no wonder that Poland was so good at volleyball, football, hockey etc... back in the 70's and early 80's.
