Van bronckhorst and Ooijer must be the oldest outfield players at this World Cup!

Perhaps, but don't forget the Italians, I think they still have the oldest team on average.

M-G (but they're needed to bring balance and experience in the team)

it will be a 3-2-4-1 with 3 defenders, two defending midfielders, of which one acts like, what we call a "vacuum cleaner"

This is a very good system if you're playing teams with no quality going forward. Potentially what van Marwijk is doing here is to sacrifice a defender for an extra striker. Yes you do have a 'vaccum cleaner' which i reckon would be van bommel but the whole system is based on midfield holding the ball and keeping it away from the position.
Now, you and i know you cant play this system against better quality teams. Teams that can pass the ball confidently, cos the you need upfield pressing to close spaces and thats leaves space behind your midfield leaving the back 3 exposed! don't you think??

Like I said, this is what I read, but I'm not a 100 per cent sure if this is the final system.

True, what system would you propose for the Dutch team?

Due to the defence's vulnerability, i would choose the 4-2-1-3.
4 compact defenders namely - Heitinga, Mathijsen, Van der wiel, and Van Bronckhorst. thats a mixture of experience and youth. i wldnt play Ooijer, Mathijsen and VB in the same line up. The 2 Holding midfield players - Van Bommel and De jong. De jong gets the 'vacuum cleaner' role for his versitility and Van Bommel to carry the ball forward from defence as Sneijder will definitely be man marked in this system when NL have the ball.
Then Sneijder having a free role infront of midfield and just playing off the centre forward. His role is to link up play and unlock defences. Btw - Van Der Vaart can fill this role just as good if not better - thats why i cant play then together - No balance in midfield.

Finally you have the front 3 - RVP, Robben and Kuyt. I like this boy Elia. i would definitely play him if Robben's hamstring clings on. Babel is an impact sub player and i think Huntelaar would start against teams like Spain and Brazil cos then you need a focal point upfront off which the other players can play.

I think thats the team your coach is playing come14th June!

I was just wondering if you were the coach of your favourite team, who would you select to play in the upcoming World Cup? I will start off with my selection for the Dutch team:

Goal: van Stekelenburg
Defence: Boulahrouz, Heitinga, v/d Wiel, van Bronckhorst
Midfield: Affelay, van Bommel, Sneijder
Attack: Elia, Kuyt, van Persie.

v/d Vaart could substitute either Kuyt or Elia and when Robben is fit to play again, he can substitute Elia.

I would replace them by a team of monkeys. But as football-hating person who am I :)))
I was only very saddened they won their opening game. I hope for better though :)

After the demasqué of Brazil, I just support North Corea, whatever their selection may be.

Try this, it's Australian free to air channel, which is the only channel (paid channels including) broadcasting the games on our TV.

Also, look here, so many tv channels for free, check if they broadcast the games. Used once one of the channels to watch live pogrzeb prezydenta.

Some people say, it's better quality, if you use Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer.
