Cracovia

Officially my Polish team, although I am yet to see them play. I'm not too fond of the shirt though, it's a little bit Sheff Utd for my liking.

The flags are gaily flying o'er Celtic Park today
Because the lads of Celtic have shown the World the way
They played the game in Lisbon and here is how they won
They didn't play defensive, attack is what they done

Oooooh - the flags are out for Celtic, they know just what to do
And Scottish hearts and Polish hearts are mighty proud of you!!!

...sorry - I got carried away ;-)

Good man.

I was bullied into it by my mate from Sheffield...he said that if him and the Artic Monkeys came out of there then I need to pick a team from there and that he'd kill me if I chose Wednesday...so my choice was made.

Oh, and if you want to ask the same question as the thread title in Glasgow you ask "Whit school did ye go tae?"

Wroclaw Boy:
Perhaps.

I think we can safley say that three English teams will make the quater finals as a direct result of the money involved.

Actually make that the semis.

My first love Feyenoord Rotterdam (of course); then De Graafschap (my home area) and then of course the Dutch Team:

Feyenoord Logo <-1 2-> De Graafschap Logo 3-> Nederland Elftal Logo

England: Arsenal, Tottenham, Hull; Spain: Barcelona; Italy: Juve and AC Milan; Poland: Legia Warschau and FC Poznan (or was it Lech Poznan?) - just because Feyenoord played them once :)

You do know they hate each other with a passion, right?

I support the glorious Shamrock Rovers.

Yes I know, but I'm not English, so those sentiments don't touch me.

Shamrock Rovers, in the 70's or 80's they made it actually to the EC, didn't they?

As far as Irish teams are concerned, I have to admit that Shamrock Rovers appeal most and Bohemians as well (but that's just because I like the name and their stadium is not too far from where I live). Which team did David Connolly play for in Ireland? He once played two seasons with Feyenoord.

M-G (one of the few Irish players to go to another country than England when going abroad - and we loved him)

They did. First Irish team to beat sides from Poland, turkey and Germany.

None, he started his career with Watford.

He scored a crazy amount of goals over in Holland.

Barry Maguire, who plays with Uterecht, can play for the Irish team. He has an Irish da and a dutch ma.

Ok, didn't know that. Is he any good? Utrecht is not doing too well. Or at least, they're a little below their normal spot in the Eredivisie: somewhere in the middle. But if he would be an enhancement, why not? As long as the Dutch squad doesn't pick him up, there's no problem.

I dont think the lad has celebrated his 21st birthday yet. Hes young.

He looks promising. One for the future. How many times have we said that about Irish lads. Normally the problem is home sickness and drink. He is, technically home, so his problem will be avoiding the beve.

Many an Irish talent has fallen for the gargle.

I was born in Southampton, but then moved to Cardiff & stayed there until I was 5 when I moved to Reading, then when I was 8 lived near Northampton, then a few years later moved to Cambridge, then moved to the Outer Hebrides who have no teams & then after 2 years back to Northampton where I have for the past 20 years. I also lived in London near West Ham for 3 years & worked near Arsenal; so which team should I support, especially as my family do not like Football!
