too exotic - most Poles (like 95 per cent) are not even aware the thing exists

Why not check out the local Irish bars in Warsaw. If there is not a team in operation, you may be able get a few teams(of Irish and Polish) together for a bit of training and few matches every so often. I think you may have your work cut out for you.

If its not there, why not try to create it.

All the best in Warsaw

Yes Cumann Warszawa. They train once a week and travel to competitions usually about twice a year. Good mix of expats and students, good social side too.

Forget Euro 2012....This is where the real football is!
Cumann Warszawa, Polands first Irish Football team, invites you to our upcoming tournament here in Warsaw on April 14th, 2012.
Gaelic football is a sport with Irish roots but with a shining future here in Poland and we want you to be here, when it all kicks off!
The sport is a mix of soccer and volleyball with a twist, and if watching a fast paced and exciting game, played with skill and passion interests you
then come along to AWF from 10am to 6pm to watch one of the many mens and womens matches.
Teams from Prague, Vienna, Munich, Bratislava and our own Cumann Warszawa will battle it out for the glory of taking home the Warsaw Cup!
We want YOU there to cheer us on!
see poster below for details...
