Hi everyone

I live very close to the "Bibliotek" (near ul. Dobra) and wondered if anyone knew of a gym or public swimming pool nearby. Am not necessarily looking for a fancy gym that has a pool....
Where's the nearest public pool to this area? What about gyms?

Thanks for any advice

The nearest public pool to you is ul Rozbrat its an old style pool.If you want one that is public and very clean then I would opt for Ul Polna. If you want to go a little up the scale then you can join the marriot or one of the Hotels there are so many now.

Having spent the last week looking around gyms in Warsaw I am not convinced most Polish people go to the high end hotel chain gyms! Where do local Warsaw folk work out?? I've seen Pure in Zloty Teracy and a few others. Can anyone recommend a local sports 'hala' with a gym in Warsaw? Or maybe they just don't exist.

I can't remember the name but I believe there is a gym on Tamka, just past the Biedronka (if you are going towards the river). Sorry to be so vague!

There is a street by the name of Obozna that is very close to you. As you start to walk up Obozna on the left had side, on the first corner is a student hangout, if you go there and chat to the local students, who are probably from the law department that is further up Obozna on the right. I am sure you will get answers to all your questions. Good luck

The best pool in Warsaw is at Potocka Street.

If you mean the one at Kepa Potocka, in north Zoliborz, it's quite good, however three one's in Brodno and Mokotow are better. If cost isn't an option, the very best are in the Intercontinental and maybe the Hyatt.
