Hi everyone!

So maybe lacrosse isn't the most popular sport in the world, but it's on the upswing with the NCAA teams playing more exciting games every year, and thousands of teams popping up worldwide every year.

The same affliction seems to have fallen upon Poland :) Mid 2009 there were three teams: Kosynierzy Wroc³aw, Poznań Hussars and Grom Warszawa. In October 2009 we were witnesses and contestants in the Polish National Team tryouts for the 2010 Lacrosse World Championships in Manchester, England.

We're hoping to start a league this year. With teams on the roll in Kraków, Konin and hopefully also Katowice we're hoping to make it more competitive than it's been so far with only three teams.

We also have two women's teams in Warsaw and Wroc³aw, and with the Euros in 2012 in Amsterdam they'll have a great opportunity to show that it's not only Volleyball Polish women excel at :)

So be on the lookout! If you know someone that used to play lacrosse, have them contact the clubs and we'll gladly help start a team in your location or help you find a place in the existing teams.

LaCrosse is a pretty cool sport I must say. Still waiting for it come to North Korea, though.

Very cool sport. The Koreans might be interested too since it can be played in very large teams:

Lacrosse, one of the oldest team sports in the Americas, may have developed as early as the 12th century,[1][2] but since then has undergone many modifications. In the traditional Native American version, each team consisted of about 100 to 1,000 men on a field that stretched from about 500 yards to a couple of miles long.[4] These lacrosse games lasted from sunup to sundown for two to three days straight
