Good decision. Better leave when you are at the top. But I doubt that he will completely give up sport. Maybe he will move to bodybuilding or something.

He already has sponsorship deals, for example with "Olimp" sports nutrition.

I went to the 2008 World's Strongest Man in Charleston, WV USA where Mariusz Pudzianowski won his 5th time and he actually gave my wife the shirt he was wearing & signed it at the end and I have it framed and it still has the stickem spray on it! Do you guys think this is worth alot of money since he is not retired??? I mean no one else in the entire world has this same shirt that he actually wore and was wearing when he won for the 5th time!!!

Bodybuilding??? Why would he want to do Bodybuilding? Theres a BIG difference between Strongman and Bodybuilding!!! He's left his legacy and has nothing else to prove!

He actually declared his retirement at the end of 2008 wsm competition but he couldnt resist another go in 2009 where he finished in 2nd place.
Mariusz is now competeting in MMA (mixed martial arts) to which he defeted his oponent Marcin Najman in both thier first mma appearences.
I dont know if he will be competeing in 2010 wsm though.

He will be competing but much less than before. He was on a singing program last night, was on Dances with Stars before and also promotes different causes.

He has 2 fights lined up for May, one on the 7th Vs Yusuke Kawaguchi and one on the 21st with 2-time former UFC champ, Tim Sylvia. With the right strategy, he should win both. He doesn't have the armbar skills that Fedor has so he will need to figure out another way to beat Sylvia.

Best of luck to him!

He's planning to fight Sylvia? Goes to confirm what I thought - he's going to beat a list of has beens, (Fr)Audley Harrison style.

Oh, come on delph. Sylvia is moving in that direction but he hasn't yet reached that point. He was overweight and tentative against Mercer and got badly caught out but his other losses have come to top dogs like Fedor, Mir (broken arm) and Arlovski (Sylvia beat him twice though). He fought reasonably against Riley after losing to Mercer.

His record is still 25-6 I think. OK, he was 16-0 without really fighting many top-notch fighters but still.

Pudzian's hunger may grant him the win but Timmy has a long reach and Pudzian will need to avoid his big hits as he packs quite a punch.
