NBA, NHL, MLB players from Poland?

Are there any polish players in the nba. any major sports.

plays NHL for the Avalanche... there are a few more hockey players in the NHL but I can't think of any NBA players :)

Wolski lived in Canada since he was 4 or so.
There are many Polish-Americans playing baseball but I don't think any poles born in Poland. The most famous and best being Stan "the man" Musial, but he was born in the states his parents in poland.

Maruisz Czerkawski and Krzystof Oliwa two NHL players but now they are back in poland I think.

sorry about the hockey thing but the only thing that i like about it is the fights, they can get brutal.

Czerkawski doesn't play in NHL anymore (he plays in Switzerland now).

Yes, I was excited when I saw Wojtek Wolski along with Joe Sakic playing the Detroit Redwings at the Pepsi Co. Center... but I was kinda disappointed that he was actually raised in Canada so I thought "oh, well, he's canadian".

And sorry DBart22, but I love hockey so I had to mention about it too ;)
And about fighting... well, I'd have to ask my sister's husband, he loves the Ultimate Fighting. But I only know there are poles in the World's Strongest Man Competition haha.

i think there had never been a polish player in NBA. Do polish people like basketball?

Marcin Gortrat playes in Orlando Magic. Besides Maciek Lampe and Czarek Trybański were playing in NBA too.

i forgot about Lampe. I actually did know about him, because every year in utah. we have the rocky mountain review. (this was some years back) Lampe was playing for new york, then phenoix. he is stinkin tall.

there have been a few others but cant remember off the top of my head.

Dunno, but a lot of us are definitely tall enough. My cousin married a guy (who's name happens to be Artur as well) and he's 6"8. He'd just have to stand next to the hoop and do a little bunny hop to dunk. :]

there also are at least a couple polish americans (born in the old country) that play in the NFL.. one was a kicker but i couldn't even tell you whom he plaid for.

I recall Szymon Szewczyk was drafted by the Bucks (second round) a few years ago.
Played in the summer league but never in an official game.
