Gone are the days of Larry Bird, etc...........sigh

.. and Jerry West, Pistol Pete, Paxson, Danny Ainge.. lots of guys.

Yeah but why is that? .. Why are these guys from the Baltic States, Spain, Poland.. Croatia.. Russian (Kirilenko AK-47) doing that much better? It's as if an American white kid just says we'll I'm just not good enough. I think this is very strange., and kind of troubling to a degree. If it's a white guy worth a darn , he's probably European.

Not strange at all considering the only basketball these white kids are playing is on their freakin' X-Box! When I was a kid, it seems we were playing basketball 24-7 in the playgrounds and local parks. We wouldn't even quit for lunch. I don't really follow the NBA like I used to anymore but hats off to these Polish and other European guys entering the NBA these days, at least they're not pulling guns on each other in the locker rooms.

He's got a Polish sounding name and that is more than good enough! Just because he wasn't born in Poland and neither were his parents and none of them have Polish passports and both he and his father have represented a country other than Poland and a Pole would never spell that name that way, doesn't mean his name doesn't tell us his nationality! This is how we know Anthony Sawoniuk isn't Polish: OK, he was born here to a mother who was from here and ethnically she was a Pole too and he self-identified as a Pole, but the fact that his name sounds a bit odd means that he can't possibly be Polish.

Of course this rule in no way means that Frédéric François Chopin was in any way French.

Dan Marino has a Polish mother & an Italian Father.

What does Stormfront have to do with anything?

You are a complete ape.

Nowitzki comes from Polish Nowicki

Gretzky from Grecki
Gretzky said he was proud to be Polish.

Polish people suck at basketball, and always will. If Mehmet Okur is your best basketball player Mr. Rude Turkey (better food than country) than you are a sad basketball country.

Are there any polish players in the nba. any major sports.

Polish-American? There's a ton in Baseball, American football, basketball and hockey. This list doesn't even include college players.
