What is happening to Poles at the moment? They seem to be under the impression that football supporters from abroad will pay crazy prices for accomodation. I have seen many advertisments charging 1000 - 1500 eur. Who is going to pay this? Supporters use their accomodation only for sleeping in, they are more likely to spend a fortune on beer and food; accomodation is not high on their list of priorities.

I travelled to Portugal during for the European cham;pionships and stayed in a youth hostel but still spent over 1000 quid. I didnt care where I put my head down, I wanted to have fun

Especially given that all the rich nations in Europe have by some strange coincidence been drawn to play on Ukraine (although Poland has pretty much the easiest group possible).

Problem is that people don't want the hassle of carrying all their camping gear over and then taking it back. Polcamp 2012 in Poznan seem to have the right idea (they provide all the camping gear).

I have my doubts about them, actually. No location announced, no-one knows anything here about them - I'm not holding my breath.

Now Wroclaw lets get back to reality, do you think half the world is going to visit Poland because some guys decide to kick a white ball, lets get things back in perspective, how many people will visit Poland during this time?, don't doubt that hotels and restaurants will be full, breweries in full production and owners of selected homes and apartments cashing in and getting high rent, Don't think people will do it rough sleeping in a tent on the outskirts of Warsaw, with the current economic downturn in Europe might make many people think twice about coming. A lot of the undesirable types end up sleeping in vans or in places like 6 to a room. Expect the US dollar to come back a bit during this time.

You seem not to understand the market rule that the demand makes the supply. The prices are really pushed up high at this moment . I know about an offer made by the British client to rent a 10 room house for the duration of the Euro 2012 finals for the amount of 50 thousand PLN. So , everybody is trying to make a buck out of it and the prices will be going very high for the accomodation . I guess that all hotel rooms are already booked for that term in all Polish cities hosting matches . So , private flats will be going for rent too in the near future. Polish officials expect that over a million visitors will come to Poland during the Euro games , but I am sure that there are not enough beds for those visitors in hotel facilities , so private flats will be put on the market as well.

I have been on 2 football tours and most of the English supporters I went with hardly slept and when they finally did, it was after a week of heavy drinking and could have slept anywhere. You been on one of these tours WB??

coming all the way from California, USA to watch the lil white ball get kicked... and already spent over $5000 usd for flight, hotel and game tickets, and feel it will be worth it!
