Poland in joint 13th place in the medal table with 6 medals, 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze.

Not such a poor showing compared to other countries which probably get more funding; Great Britain, for example only got one medal (1 Gold) and are in 24th place, Italy in 15th place with 5 medals (1 Gold, 1 Silver, 3 Bronze).

There's no way Poland can compete with the likes of USA & Canada; well done to Germany on having 29 Medals (10 Gold, 12 Siver, 7 Bronze) and 2nd place (so far!) in the medal table

The Ice Hockey final bewteen USA and Canada tonight should be interesting .... starts in a couple of hours .

Michelle’s inspiration for this thread most likely came from the article published in Wall Street Journal dated February 17th by Hannah Karp “What If They Gave Medals for Losing?” Poor attempt at mockery by both the author of the article published in WSJ and OP, having premature orgasm before the final results were in. Well there’s a surprise. Outstanding piece of Journalism that belongs on the pages of tabloids. Speaking for myself; kudos to all Olympians from all participating countries for providing much needed break from my daily grind. I enjoyed the games and I’m proud of my fellow countryman achievements.

All what Poland needs is to develop better sport management!
There is nothing what would hold them back then...
