Around 60 Polish fans were detained during and after Poland lost 0 - 2 to Lithuania in a non-competitive football match in Kaunas last night.

lol the Polish Lithuania problem reminds me much of the Greek Macedonian problem, but at this case it seems to be much worse in Poland. People need to stop being so "sensitive" about their nationalism. Mellow out everyone and take a deep breath.

Just come from bad neighborhoods and broken homes, they don't know any better, if their pops and moms were the same they think it's ok to be like that.

yep, products of their environment and the fact that most probably they genuinely enjoy a good fight

its not an excuse its a fact, if you were born to a head hunter youd most probably become one, you wouldnt know any different. The benefit of todays society is that the information is there if you choose to follow it, even so being brought up that way is not a good start. nature vs nurture

Watch the Lithuanians turn this into an another reason to dislike Poles in Lithuania and to take away the minorities rights.

There is alot of politics in the sporting arena ... also our strategies are poor. Otherwise Poland have the best talents in Europe, we could do it! SURELY!!!!!....

I think everything needs to be given a deeper look.

either way it isn't. Lack of culture, that's all it is.

as an american, i guess i'll never understand soccer culture.

people act as if they're fighting for their country's freedom, it's ridiculous. it's just a game, folks. just a game.

I've been to a few Lech Poznan games and I just thought the whole thing was silly. the fans are corny, the chants are double corny....I just couldn't get into it....and I like soccer, played it for years.

i guess in general, soccer culture just seems childish to me.

Corny? I think drunks in cheese hats at American football games are corny. All they do is yell or boo, European football fans got the balls to fight and attack police, plus beating up fans from an another country in a way makes u proud, that your people defeated others. From the time i was like 8 i went to the games in Poland and every time i go back i got to at least one or two.

Yep, that's corny. I guess them and the soccer fans around the world have something in common.

it's a different culture. sure, there are obsessive american sports fans but all in all, soccer culture is unique to the rest. young 20 somethings having a biggest d!ck contest, beating up others because they like red while the other guy likes blue. get a job.

Never understood it really, for me American football looks more like american rugby then actual football... I mean... they hold that ball for crying out loud
