Poznan airport to the euro 2012 stadium

I am not a football fan but am trying to help a friend out. Is it reasonable to walk from the stadium to the airport or is it just a little too far.
Trying to figure out somewhere to meet up with a car after an evening match. Also thought about meeting at the hotel directly opposite the airport but hope someone on the forum might be more clued up. Assume it would not be a good idea to try and drive to the stadium itself with loads of cars and fans.
