I am a dundee united supporter travelling to wroclaw on 13th july. What should I expect to find here? Some bad stories of hooligans in poland, we are a frendly bunch of fans looking for a party time not fighting, will we be safe?

Just don't tell them that your nickname is The Arabs, jimmy :) They have a hooligan fraternity but they are far from being the worst in Poland. Obviously, you may be at risk but Scots and Poles are hardly blood enemies. Just go in The Tartan Army spirit and all should be well :)

Cheers seanus, everywhere we go with scotland or united in europe we are well received by the locals. we will be loud , proud and will drink like the polish. Looking forward to this, dont find many differences between poles and scots, we have plenty here in scotland, so this should be good.

Drink like the Polish? Try drinking with the Polish, that would help. Remember to say 'na zdrowie' (na zdroveeyeah), our slainte mhaithe or cheers :) Having some Polish boys on your side will help to minimise the risk as you will be seen to be onside and not anti-Polish.

3-1 Wroc³aw means 3-1 to Wroc³aw, Wroc³aw :) It's in Wroc³aw, Wroc³aw, so I meant Wroc³aw. Right, Wroc³aw? ;) ;)

The first number is the home team and the second, the away team. Dundee Utd will lose.

Oh, I'm not sure about that. ¦l±sk Wroc³aw is an up-and-coming team which doesn't have an extensive track record in European football.

I don't think Maurice Malpas is with them anymore ;) ;) Or David Narey ;)

I know that Aberdeen FC beat Lech Poznań back in 1983 :) :)

I can't think who that would be, Wroc³aw. I just hope that the Arabs behave themselves and do Scottish football proud. No fighting. Most Scots travel well so fingers crossed and may the best team win.

Orest Lenczyk was the manager when the arabs beat them last 7-2 in 1980. He is now the manager also, strange :D

And got beat by Legia Warszawa in 1990, I think?

Still, as a supporter of Aberdeen and Lech Poznań - it's safe to say that I hope for a huge riot which gets both teams kicked out of Europe ;)

Wroclaw look the better side, but getting all the chances and wasting them doesn't win games.

this game should be on the net somewhere, if anyone is interested. i'm watching on polsat

Slask Wroclaw 1 Dundee 0

final score.

dundee couldn't get it together on the day. wroclaw wasted a load of chances. a fair result in the end.

Believe it or not, that was my first prediction until I changed it. It's the truth.

i have no reason to doubt it. we both predicted a win and that's what we got.

i did enjoy the game, quite fast throughout, no dull moments.

A horrible way for the Arabs to get put out but that's the way it goes. Well done, Wroc³aw

Is it the club or the fans that are known as the Arabs? I seem to remember someone calling them the "terrors" a few years ago. Maybe I'm mistaken and it's the other Dundee club.

The Arabs are more the supporters group. I think they may still be called The Terrors by some.

terrors is official nickname of the club, arabs are the supporters, and please it was Dundee United that Wroclaw defeated not Dundee, don't confuse them, especially in Dundee

That's what I meant, nobabody :) The Terrors is the club.
