there is a swimming pool with a section that also has slides and other things. I believe it has an olympic size pool for doing laps. It is on Pulawska and is called Wodny Park. this is probably the closest to Mokotow.

Wodny Park

A great pool for a family swim.

If Juli25, is looking for swimming lessons for her kids, she obviously needs an English speaking swimming instructor. The safest swimming pool in Mokotow is ul Polna, next to the university dorms. The cost of private swimming lessons is normally 1 PLN per minute, so a 45 minute lesson would be 45 PLN, some may try to charge more, if you have a couple of kids and they do back to back lessons they should accept this price. If you are looking for a swimming instructor, wait until you put the kids in school then approach the swimming instructor at school for private lessons.

the distance is not a big problem. What is important - I need to find a teacher who specializes in competitive swimming for kids

my kids go to the pool in Ursynow- it has a good reputation, I have never been because they go with school.- there are two in ursynow...maybe somebody knows the names???

doesn't wodny park have a training pool also? I remember it. one side is the slides and fun pool and the other is the one for lessons and laps.

thank you, Wedle
yes, swimming instructor is what we are looking for
are you familiar by any chance with specific teacher (with good professional record/reputation)?

by the way, I'm not sure if I understood correctly, but does it mean that in Warsaw there is no special "swimming schools", but mainly private teachers who can give swimming lessons for individuals, rather than for groups of children?

no- there are good instructors and lessons. if distance is not a problem try club tuan in piaseczno. it is brand new and they offer a lot of programs for kids.

Wodny Park has an olympic size pool, they also get a high volume of traffic, our children both came down with a stomach bug from there a few years ago, so we have never been back since. We use ul Polna, even though we don't live in Mokotow ( it is also close by the metro), the cleanliness is second to none, they are also very professional. The swimming instructor we used is Polish.

I am sure there are swimming groups for kids, my wife just went with the private option for our kids at the time.
