Probably not the best fight to judge Tyson on, i wouldnt bet against Tyson in his prime to get beat by ANY fighter.

Compare it to T/B 2, where Tyson absolutely demolished Bruno in the early rounds. Strange how bruno put on a bigger show when he was a contender but just froze up in his first title defence.

Nathan? Your thoughts?

Delphiandomine, I was trying to write something, but all I came up with was what you already said :) Both have distinct styles of fight, which is dictated in part by the height. You won't expect Vitali to aim for an upper-cut against Tyson or Tyson trying to win by jabbing against Vitali. Vitali has bigger stamina than Tyson had even in his prime. Tyson could bring some crazy explosive moments, that's for sure. But again Vitali is not the one to be intimidated by the speed and he can keep an opponent from coming in very well as you mentioned. But even if both lost it and went openly for the kill, Vitali would win, I have no doubt. Also important point is that Vitali, IMHO, thinks about his future, which doesn't end in the boxing, and his fights look like chess, because afterall the brain is above everything else: fame of being crazy in the ring or put a show for viewers at your brain's expense is not what he is after. He brings the results, preserving his health, and he is great at it. He has the highest knockout rate in the history of box and one would think it is not possible by his calculated, non-explosive style. Well, he proved it otherwise.

I'll give him 2 rounds before getting flattened.

I can see the plan - anger and humiliate Vitali, let him blow himself up and then go for the KO late on - but come on, it's a Klitschko, he's not going to lose his cool!

The age difference between them is 12 years?! And Klitchko is heavily favored? That's an awesome endorsement.

Yes, amazing, Kliczko`s blows are like water off Chisora`s jaw. They are fighting round 8 now.

One great fight, I didn't think that Chisora would have lasted that long and boxed so good. Congrats to the both of them.

the Vitali in there tonight was nothing like the one who fought Lennox lewis.

Good fight well done Chisora, i'd like to see Haye up against Vitali next.

I was predicting a 2nd round knockout - all credit to Chisora! If he keeps fighting like that, he's going somewhere.

Not at all. The amount of blows that he got caught with was staggering - and his inability to do much with Chisora was telling. The speed is still there, but the power is going.

Surely Haye vs Chisora is on the cards now?

(curious point - I never realised that Vitali was popular in Poland until tonight!)

Seems like the pre- fight buildup has already started http://www.sportinglife.com/boxing/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=boxin g/12/02/19/BOXING_Munich_Brawl_4th_Nightlead.html&BID=543

Almost certain then ;) It makes sense, they'll both get a huge payday from Sky Box Office money, they'll easily sell out something like the O2 in London and no doubt they'll hype it to hell.

(and if Chisora fights the same way, I can easily see him beating Haye)

I think that the BBBC may have something to say about the outrageous conduct at the press conference. Surely a suspension is inevitable, or is boxing as rotten as its detractors like to assert?

They're not going to do much, not when the biggest (far bigger than Haye's fight against Fraudley) fight in British boxing in a while is on the cards. No doubt they'll both get a fine and told "don't do it again", but they're not going to hand out any serious punishment.

Idiots, but wise idiots - Chisora knows that this sort of nonsense sells tickets/PPV's, and Haye is no stranger to stirring the pot. Haye'll be tempted by one huge payday (and he won't be bothered if he loses, he's all but retired anyway) and Chisora needs the rub.

They're also wise to act like thugs - people will pay money to see the other one knocked out. There's also money in a rematch if it's very close.

Dereck Chisora threatens to shoot David Haye after brawl

This'll also get them shitloads of PPV buys from wannabe gangsters - plenty of them on council estates have Sky and will pay 15 quid a shot to see "their boy" deal with Haye.

Very true. He also said some nice things before about Poland (that he'd like to visit) and about Polish boxing fans. Africans are generally nice people.
