WHO WILL WIN EURO 2012?

Hi all!

I was just wondering which teams could be the finalist of this year's Euro 2012? And who will win this competition actually?

As we all know that Spain will go as favourite! But we can't write off other teams! Like Italy, Holland, Germany, France or even the hosting country POLAND!

And by sharing views who knows we might land up at Ladbrokes with some change and get some extra dough for beers!

Ireland will do a Greece, play boring defensive football but win.........hopefully....as long as England don't win I'm for anyone really :P

Such factors as an easy first-match win over Greece that gives Poland a new lease of life, a tie with Russia and a surprisingly good showing by the Czechs agaisnt Greece and Russia plus a string of fortuitous occurrences in the other groups will make Poland Europe's 2012 champion after the final showdown which Poland win thanks to an own-goal by their

ireland are dark horses for 2012, what they lack in skill is more than made up for with great attidude and the underdog passion of beating the big stars, also their manager trappatoni is ultra defence minded,

Ireland will beat the spanish(great memories of the penalty shoot out in america). Then you will see the greatest migration ever, the irish supporters driving to Ukraine. Crap, we don't know any Ukraine words.

Germany is the big favorite in my opinion, together with Spain of course, but i bet one Slavic country will win or get to the final in Poland-Ukraine:D maybe Ukraine

Any true-blooded Pole or Polonian feels under his skin that Poland will win. As the great Kazimierz Górski (whose wonderteam knocked the f------ Pommies out of the World Cup) used to say: There are two goals and the ball is round... meaning that up till the final whistle anything can happen. Let's all hope the white & reds carry the day!

I have a feeling Spain won't win the EURO this time around. They will make it far, but I just don't see them winning it this year. I think Germany or Netherlands will win it.

If Spain, Grmany, Italy, Brazil, France, England or suchlike win, it will be old hat and dullsville. Only a victory by Poland or some other dark horse will add zest, variety and excitement to the event.

Well, I wouldn't be so sure ;) Any football fan from Poland would surely want Poland to advance as far as possible, but with teams such as Holland, Germany, Spain it seems VERY hard. Let's hope Poland wins the first match with Greece and take it from there.

In a recent poll there Poland was chosen as the likely winner of the opening match. Let's hope that will be the case.

It might actually be good football. In any case, the Polish team are pretty dire and it would probably be less humiliating for them if they weren't in it at all...

We had a dark horse winner in 2004, and they were universally regarded as the worst team ever to win. In fact, the Spanish victory in 2008 was regarded as being as providing "zest, variety and excitement", not least because they finally fufilled their promise and won a major tournament. England winning would certainly bring excitement, given their terrible record since 1966.

Then again, you're not likely to watch anyway, are you?

Its hard to see past Spain with their impressive squad.

They will take some beating.

Although, I think we could nick a point off them.

But still finish bottom of the group!

Group 'A' is a bit tough! As all the teams are too good!!Russia & Poland might make it though!

group 'B'- the group of death we can call it I bet the first and the second ranked team will dispute the final!which in my opinion might be the Dutch and German!

group 'C'- with title holders Spain and italy, croatia might be the suprise team as in World Cup 1998! they've got good players!

group 'D'- with the host nation and euro 2000 winner France, they might make it there in the group stage- As to Sweden they have a very good record against England! So

Well It could be a semi final between these four teams:

1- Germany
2- Holland
3- spain
4- italy

polonious3, i agree with you,, brazil are certanties to win euros, if they are not knocked out by nigeria in the group stages.
