In the Europa Cup Group stages, Wisła Krakow have been drawn in the same group as my team Fulham, Twente and OB;

In Poland, Wisła are the team I follow, and I have been to watch them when in Krakow; I hope both Fulham ( who I have supported for over 40years) and Wisła get through to the knock-out stages, but when they play each other I will be hoping for a Fulham victory:o) ..... unless Fulham are already through and Wisła need a result against Fulham;

Can't wait to get the dates for the matches as I will be coming over to Krakow for a week to see the game and also visit family.

Great feelings! Great draw for you! )))
As Dynamo Kyiv supporter I was on your side when you played vs Shakhtar Donetsk couple of seasons ago, but sure on the opposite side when you played vs our big friends Dnipro.
Anyway Fulham proved that they are strong team and earned the place in a group-stage.
I wish you good games!
P.S. We (Dynamo) got Stoke City in the group. What can you tell about them?

First of all congratulations on your team Dynamo Kyiv making it to the group stages.

Stoke City are a very much improved Premier League team who are well organised by their manager Tony Pulis.
They concentrate a lot on set pieces like free kicks and especially long throw-ins where they have a specialist in Rory Delap; they are a team of very strong/tall individuals which is why they are strong on set pieces; they have also been labelled as a very physical team.

They have purchased Jonathan Woodgate ( and I believe Matthew Upson) to partner Robert Huth in the centre of defence so that provides quite an experienced centre of defence. Kenwyne Jones and Walters up front are strong and good in the air, whilst Etherington and Pennant are skillful wide players who can deliver good crosses.

I hear that Stoke are one of several clubs trying to buy Shaun Wright-Phillips another speedy winger from Manchester City.

Stoke City don't however have a very big squad, so if they get injuries or tiredness sets in from playing too many games , then their performances may not be up to par - a bit similar to Fulham's situation who have some very good players, but need to strengthen their squad if they really want to compete in the Premiership, domestic cup competitions and Europa.

Thanx a lot for the info! :)
And thanx for the congratulations!
I think Fulham is ready to reach the play-offs from the group.
I don t want to say sthg bad about Wisla or Odense, but Fulham is much stronger side now.
As for Twente... Maybe draw away + home victory = both in play-offs.
But I wish Fulham & Wisla good games (I understand you wish this 2 teams to qualify)!
Why not!

Thanx again!

Unfortunately this is the case ...... Fulham had the game sewn up at half-time and were in control in the second half but as we all know football is a 'funny old game' and with the last action of the match Odense scored an equaliser which meant that Wisła go through to the knock-out stages of the tournament.

Good luck to both Polish teams left in the Europa Cup, Wisła Krakow and Legia Warszawa; I think they will both find it tough as there are quite a few heavyweights of football in the Europa Cup now - Manchester Utd, Manchester City, Valencia, Porto, Atletico Madrid , Lazio just to name a few.
