KRAKOW, Poland. June 12 (PS) — Wisla Krakow's search for a goalkeeper has finally finished. The White Star on Saturday signed a contract with Serb Milan Jovanic - reports Przegląd Sportowy.

According to local reports Jovanc signed a five-year contract with the Polish vice-champion. The Spartak Subotica player cost Wisla about 400 thousand euros.
The club did not want to comment on this information.

As it stands now, at least unofficially, the player's presentation is to take place during Monday's press conference.

The 25-year-old has since 2009 defended the colors of Spartaku Subotica. Previously, he has also performed in several other clubs in Serbia, was also having a stint in Australia. This year, he also debuted in the Serbian national team.

I'm not a Wisła fan but I hope he does a good job for them. A fan favourite would really raise the profile of Serbian players in the eyes of Poles. There are similarities between Poles from where I was today and Serbians. Even the pronunciation is similar. Serbians would say Po mo zee (nam Boże) whereas standard Poles would say po mo zi (like with ż). Poles near Opole speak like Serbs.

Anyway, Wisła have high expectations so he will be under pressure. I wish him well!

`Cracow` always sounded me as `Racow`

anyway, fact is that Poles and Serbs have great level of sensibility for each others. i sow that many times. Its a fact
