True! Onan was classy too. The attacking dude was not so bad either, Ehran?

Scotland just doesn't have any team to speak of, neither do the English or Welsh.

Yeah.. you don't have too many big guys like you need. However, Oz has put some forth some pretty good players though. Like Andrew Bogut. Some of their women are very good too. Lauren Jackson, etc. Russia looked good and played the US the closest. Maybe they're on the climb.

They also had some erratic games, the Russians. The Lithuanians are the surprise package from the tournament. They beat Serbia by 11 but actually destroyed them in the game.

Hmm... 15% of experience, 35% of good sense, and 50% of luck. Here's the 'recipe' ;)

Congratulations to Polson and Paulinska. My finishing position is very flattering and I shouldn't really be this high. Rock missed 4 games, Polson missed one or two as well. Paulinska put all his eggs in one basket because of a dream, and rock and mephias played the last games with their hearts. Seanus would have done better too, had he not rushed his predictions.

At the end of the day it was just a game, but I believe we all got enjoyment watching some amazing skills from the teams in this great competition. Thanks rock for keeping the scores and looking after the game. Enjoy a beer tonight because your Country has done you proud.

I share your feeling (about my position). But you did well (once again), you fully deserve to be on the podium (64W is pretty good!).

Vincent:
Polson missed one or two as well.

Now that's flattering ;)

Vincent:
rock and mephias played the last games with their hearts

Which we know is often the wrong technique ;)

Nice brief of the game Vincent. ( Somebody knows that I am the hidden champion.lol )

And you deserve your position. You finished the game with best percentage of winner prediction.

Well, well it's been a rollcoaster... thanks everyone for participating and thanks to you Rock & Memphias(part timer) for arranging this game. Like i said from the start, If the Americans are in it, then i'm in it...No seriously, i think some teams played unbelievably well....Turkey did well, and i think everyone benefited from their run especially FIBA (gate cllections), so did Serbia. Lithuania for me were my team of the tournament as they only made the championships via a wild card!. Awesome stuff!

Well, i got a medal at last! i know i wierdly went bonkers at the crucial moment but hey, i was only 5 secs away from being a genius too! I think thats what makes these kind of games interesting! Congs to our Champ - Polly. Vincent, you gave him a run for his money.
Seanus, it looks like next time you'll have to flip a coin when it comes to those 'too close to call' games!

Well, it's only 4 years to go before the next championships - I'm ready, are you lot ready?

Yeah, it's a learning experience as ever in life. Even us teachers can learn a thing or two ;) ;0 20 points and I would have snatched it but we can all say the same :)

Thanks again to the organisers for taking the time to make this work :)

We don't have to wait that much Paulinska.

There is eurobasket 2011 just 1 year later. It will be like a World Cup excluding USA, Argentina and Brazil.

Eurobasket 2011 will be hosted by Lithuania.

Is there any Lithuanian in PF ? I will be glad to hand over moderator duty to him/her :)

This time Turkish women basketball team is in the final in European Championship in Poland.

Turkey is playing against Russia just half an hour later.

Even we lose this is a very big success.

We lost. Russia is very experienced and taller than us. But I am sure in 5 years we can be the champion in Europe.
