Even in Turkish basketball league and in european cup matches girl dancers perform. I really do not hear about it. Turkey is a secular country. Maybe for only the match our conservative prime minister watched they did not perform. But I do not think that there is such a demand from prime minister. It can not be. Let's see what will happen in the next matches.

In Turkey Puerto Rico match girl dancers performed.

i wasnt trying to be provocative or having a go at turkey.

i dont really see the point of having dancers "entertain" in sporting events myself...but the iranian response is laughable. they cant watch the dancers but are probably out every night socialising with other basketballers and trying to get their groove on so to speak.

Yeah...just like i thought, my brovado didn't work at all....back to basics now! I'm very impressed with the ranking though. It seems some results didn't favour most of us.
I've mapped out the teams i think will make the final, however, im really struggling to choose between Serbia and Turkey. Guys, who do you think would win this match? otherwise i'm gonna have to toss a coin. Rock, as u're Turkish, whats your call? Heads or Tails?

Good news Rock, I have done my calculations;) and I think Turkey have a good chance of getting to the final. It won't be easy beating France, Slovenia or Serbia but the home support will be worth an extra few points when they have to dig deep.

I've much respect for Lithuania but I can't see them beating Argentina and then the USA in consecutive games. So for me it's Turkey v USA final.

My Scenario :

I think, Turkey, USA, Serbia, Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Lithuania and Argentina are the best teams of the championship.

I believe Turkey will pass France without trouble as we are stronger than them. In the next round we will possibly play with Slovenia which is a very good team. It will not be easy but we have the capacity to pass Slovenia. Then, in semi finals our rival will be Spain, Greece or Serbia. Everything can happen. But I expect Serbia. Turkey-Serbia match will be the revenge of Eurobasket 2001 where we lost championship in the final against Serbia. We will win this time with the motivation of 2001.

On the other side, USA, Lithuania and Argentina are the strongest candidates for the final. Can Lithuania or Argentina make a surprise ?

I wish a Turkey-Lithuania final. Lithuania was very powerful in this championship until now. It is a basketball country and come to Turkey with 4000 fans. I think more Lithuanians will come for the next rounds. I think they will pass Argentina which is one of the best teams of the world. But against USA they need a lucky day. USA will win after a tough game.

Oh, ok. I'll stick my neck out and say Turkey Vs USA. Turkey cuffed China and will get it together. Argentina let Jordan back into the game and won't go far beyond Brazil. NZ will be favourites to beat Russia but I think Russia can do it but faulter after.
