The standard of living in Poland?

Is it so different from england that it warrants a couple taking their 3 year old child back to poland so that the wife is now free to go out to work here as well as her husband.

Prior to this she took care of the child here and didn't work.

I can only speculate that this isn't a permanent arrangement and they are looking to earn as much as possible in the short term?

They are both qualified in poland, as teachers, but say they can earn so much more here manually working in a factory - are the wages and according standard of living so poor in poland?
What sort of accomodation, car, prospects etc does the average teacher have?

Looks like I'll have to research it myself.

first search brought up this

"As a university lecturer, I earned about £200 a month [in Poland], and here [England] I earn about £1500 a month.

"We can rent a house, we have a house, we pay all the bills and it is still enough money for us. But it was not enough for us in Poland."

But now I will have to look into other professions and find out what the equivalent of £200 will cover in Poland to qualify "not enough"

Hi

A lazy person wouldn't ask my question they would make an uninformed judgement instead

Forums are for helping each other out, if you don't want to help me with my question then please don't respond.

Similar responses from yesterday were deleted, presumably by the mods.

Thankyou

As I said, I am prepared to research for myself but would appreciate help here, seeing as you are in a better position than myself to answer.

Teachers in public schools ear between 700 and 1500 zloty a month.
So if they make 3000 and its probably less after taxes its very hard to live in Poland on that. You can but its survival not really living. They could make as little as 2000 before taxes whats that about 200 pounds. Teachers are screwed the world over.

Looks like you could do with the help of an English teacher or maybe those words should be replaced with doctor.

What the hell are you talking or asking about.. you have a computer- use it.
You are ther sort of person that MAKES the stereotype of people.

YOU CAN GET ON A PLANE FOR 50 EUROS RETURN FLIGHT DIRECT TO POLAND - (KRAKOW OR POZNAN) AND SEE WHAT IT IS LIKE -CHEAPER THAN YOU CAN GET A TAXI DOWN TO THE LOCAL PUB-RUSH DOWN A FEW PINTS BEFORE ANAL CLOSING TIME OR GETTING A BRITISH CURRY FROM A CHINESE SHOP !!!..

Please don't insult Polish people
