Steroid use in Poland

I have heard that steroid usage is quite widespread in Poland.

I'm often surprised at the physiques some of my slavic and baltic friends have when they seem to train quite light.
Slavic males are generally quite genetically gifted in that they are lean and fit athlethes.

Do you think steroid usage is widespread in Poland?

It is quite widespread in the UK and to a lesser but growing extent in Ireland

No.... I know many guys who train and using steroids is thing considered as most stupid decision. I would say that supplements (creatine, gainers and much more) usage is widespread in Poland (of course supps are used by people who go to gym, train....).

Polish people, both men and women dominate in Strongman/Strongwomen competitions. Did poland win both WSM and WSW in the same year a few years back? And Pudzianowski is what, one of two other people to win 3 times (and probably going to win more)

I wouldn't say it is anymore widespread than the UK and I don't think it is the reason the Poles make good strength athletes. 99.9% of the really biggest guys wherever you go have used gear. I think the fact that in general weight training is more popular/accepted in Poland than in the UK. Just from flicking through a general sports magazine off the shelf I was suprised to find written articels and coverage from strongman, bodybuilding and olvmpic lifting comps. I guarantee that if you picked a general sports magazine off a UK shelf that it wouldnt cover these sports. It also could be because you get behind your athletes here. Most people have heard of Pudzianowski in Poland. Who's heard of Terry Hollands or Glen Ross in the UK? Good on Poland for supporting their champion, shame on the UK for not supporting their athletes in this sport.

Most Americans couldn't tell the guys that usually represent them. Beside other strength athletes. It only took us what, 26 years to get the title back. haha
