Trams are not so strange. America and Japan still have them in places. Washing machine in the bathroom, never heard of that.

The bread only lasts a day or two because they don't put preservatives in it. U will see bez konserwantów on the labels.

In the two houses and one flat I have been in in Poland, all three have had the washing machine in the bathroom. I only wish my bathroom was big enough for me to do the same. I don't see why dirty clothes and washing powder should be anywhere near food.

My bread usually lasts less than a day. I eat it all before it gets a chance to go off.

My grandfather used to send my sister and me to the store to get him some beer when we were 8/9. Good times :)

Nothing too unusual about the washing machine in the bathroom - it does kinda make sense afterall

Shower in the kitchen on the other hand takes some getting used to...

You know who you are ;)

you are allowed to wear thongs, however wearing nothing but shirt and thongs in the middle of the street would surely draw some attention (except near the seaside/lakeside in the summer).

Eating vegatables for breakfast.
Or when people eat that really soft cheese with jam on bread. Its even worse when they seem to get most of the creaminess around their mouth and leave it there whilst talking to you.

Sometimes when I eat sandwiches for breakfast they have vegetables on them (ie tomato, cucumber, lettuce). How is that weird?
Its no more weird than cheesecake flavoured yogurt (which I had in the UK)...

Thongs are also referred to as butt floss! I got the same gross visual as the others lol!

Mali:
tomato,

Tomato is a fruit !

But I agree eating veggies at breakfast is not weird. There are lots of different things people all over the World eat for breakfast. It's just usually the British who think we should all eat like they do, otherwise it has to be 'strange' if we don't !

Its a cultural preference. To me sweetcorn and peas in mayonaise first thing in the morning is a stomach turner.

Correct. This is how it is most places in te world I imagine.
If I went to Poland and had curry for breakfast people wouldnt think that somewhat unusual? Or is it that Poles are just so easygoing about individual choices compared to Brits that they wouldnt even notice?

Agree with you there 100%. If my mom made the following for breakfast, I would probably throw up. (the eggs and toast are okay, but the rest of it? bleh.

UK food

ie, in Poland if you ate beans on top of fried bread and sausages for breakfast, people would also ridicule. It definitely is a cultural thing.
"The traditional English breakfast consists of eggs, bacon, sausages, fried bread, baked beans and mushrooms. Even though not many people will eat this for breakfast today, it is always served in hotels and guest houses around Britain."

The first time I came to England I couldn`t believe their breakfast, it`s much stranger than the polish one! Both are tasty though :)
