In the last several years, we have put in thousands of hours - and thousands of dollars - into developing PolishForums.com. We like to think that we have managed to create and maintain a great community of people interested in Poland and Polish news, along with a great way to meet new friends online. In return, we have received enormous emotional rewards for our work, and we are thankful for that.

Many people have asked us: "Who are you? Who are the sponsors of this site? Who are you, Admin? You seem to spend most of your life online, maintaining and moderating this site!" My answer to these people is that, "If you have passion about something, you don't need to worry about how much time you have invested. Only sometimes, you have to worry about the money. :)"

We believe that all members, even the brand new ones, should have access to all the available site options. Some of them would not be able to pay for a membership. In the near future, members can expect to see even more useful features, and they will be free too. Since we believe in giving all members free access to the best features, there's not really anything we could offer as a paid option. Unfortunately, money has to come from somewhere to support the website itself, and so we are asking for your continuous help.

What Will Your Donations Be Used For?

- Hosting and server maintenance/support fees (currently $90 a month),

- Providing software upgrades (to maintain online security) and new, improved features coming soon (an average of $100 a month),

- Paying contract freelance writers for the wonderful information about Poland and up-to-date Polish news (an average of $100 a month),

- Paying for outsourcing of tech support when Admin or the developers are on vacations or temporarily unavailable for unpredicted reasons (an average of $460 a year).

We want you to be able to immerse yourself in the life of Poland each time you visit the forum. We also believe in freedom of speech. That's why, we have avoided using any of the advertising programs that would put their banners and affiliate ads on the pages that you read and would limit your right to criticize a product or service. In reality, these programs would "pay the bills," but they would distract you from the relaxation that you want when you come to the site. We've considered using these programs, and below is a snap-shot of how a webpage of our site would look if we ever need to rely on banner ads and affiliate links:
