For those who aren't aware, there is a polish sports carnival on this weekend at the Polish recreational centre in Albion @ 19 Carrington Drive ( just off the Ring Rd near Sunshine/Deer Park). Sunday is the main day with a Mass at 9am, followed by some entertainment, such as folk dancing and various sporting activities, such as football, athletics, volley ball and an open air market. Lots of people, lots of food and drinks, activities for the littlies. There is an admission fee per car, something like $4. I'm planning on going.. my niece will be dancing... very cute!

Wrong part of the forum for me really, but I do wonder why so few Antipodeans post on PF.

It depends on how realistic the bull is I suppose.
I know they're supposed to all be into sport down under, but this takes inventing new ones a step too far surely. Or perhaps two steps, considering that bulls (mechanical ones included?) have double the number of legs.

This bull had no legs! and thank goodness because from the 'athletes' ( and by that I mean middle aged polish men with something to prove) that took it, it seems if this sport is take off, it needs some serious federal funding and a special institute for training. Quite funny really.

Hej DJP, these events are good for socialising, you meet up with people you don't see regulalry so thats nice. They often have a market so you can buy music and dvds, jewellery, bit and pieces, polish apparell etc. There are alot of poles here in Melbourne spread out but especially in the northern and eastern suburbs. So, whats the project???
