Hi everyone! I started posting last week and forgot to introduce myself! How rude :)
I'm from Melbourne, Australia - in my early 30s and a qualified dental nurse. I don't do much dental nursing anymore but I still work within the dental industry. So if you have any dental questions - just ask me!
I've had alot of time on my hands recently and started reading the posts for fun - even though sometimes it gets abit too heated. Just got to remember that there is a real living person on the other end!
I've just been through treatment for cancer - which at my 'young' age was a shock but all is OK now (hence all the spare time). So I can empathise with plenty of you out there who feel a sense of loss - for your varying reasons.
During that time I've been trying to find info on my ancestry - so if anyone (other than KS or Maksym) has info on the towns of Jankowice/Rudnia in Belarus in the pre WW2 era, it would be much appreciated.
My parents came out from Poland in the 1960s and we live a very 'polish' life in some regards out here. I have very polish extended family so I'm always exposed to the language, music, movies and polish culture in Melbourne - which is great! It's so easy to be swept up in the "aussie" culture when you are a 1st generation australian - and much harder to pick up the traditions and language later.
Enuf from me! Chat soon....
