What do you think the troops should do, wait until they come out? Personally I think by stopping the money until Pakistan takes a few leaders into custody may help.

Isthatu I understand your countries position with such a large pakistani population. Probably would do the same. Just sucks that your country must worry about such things. Your government is held hostage and can't act likes it wants to if it sees the need to go into Pakistan.
But then again you can say that about any country with a multi cultural population.

One country is the exception. America they don't let that **** stop them. Call me crazy but that's what I love about this country

and that is a major problem that will cost america dearly.. it is costing it already. less terrorists since 2001?

People come first, do you want people in your country that have the potential to become terrorists. Better to weed them out.

Of course more terrorists, however their just screwing themselves. Their acts are helping their country.

I hate to say it but if the troops do not go in, it's a matter of time before Taliban doesn't need them and they start taking out Pakistans themselves. In fact it has already started.

The only thought I have on Pakistan currently, is please dear God let Musharraf remain in power. Please dear Lord do not let some Islamic fundamentalist individuals attain the control no matter how democratic their rise to power is. Sadly, if democracy were the electoral procedure in some of these Nations, psychotic, fundamental Islamic lunatics, would easily attain power. A holy War would ensue, and tragedy would befall millions upon millions on all sides.

A holy war sadly is in our future…..

Are we winning, its difficult to establish this at the moment. A lot more terrorists died then American soldiers. Numbers dead doesn't mean your winning in a war like this. However if I had to answer the question then, in Iraq yes, in Afghanistan its a toss up, but overall we are winning.

Are we gonna win, that's the better question. I don't doubt it for a second.

This just hit the news this morning.
Top al-Qaida Figure Killed in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) - A missile from a U.S. Predator drone struck a suspected terrorist safehouse in Pakistan and killed a top al-Qaida commander believed responsible for a brazen bomb attack during a visit last year by Vice President Cheney to Afghanistan, a U.S. official said Thursday.
The strike that killed Abu Laith al-Libi was conducted Monday night or early Tuesday, said the official, who would neither confirm nor deny that the U.S. carried it out. The attack was against a facility in Pakistan's north Waziristan region, the lawless tribal area bordering Afghanistan. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to discuss the strike publicly.

The killing of such a major al-Qaida figure is likely to embarrass President Pervez Musharraf, who has repeatedly said he would not sanction U.S. military action against al-Qaida members believed to be regrouping in the wild borderlands near Afghanistan.

U.S. officials: CIA kills top al Qaeda terrorist in Pakistan

Radical Islamist Web sites announced al-Libi's death.

"May God have mercy on Sheikh Abu Laith al-Libi and accept him with his brothers, with the martyrs," said a eulogy posted on a main Islamist site, Al-Ekhlaas.

Al-Libi, 41, was of Libyan descent and was believed to have been in the Afghanistan/Pakistan border region, according to the U.S. military.

Great News, obviously its just a symbolic victory since a new head will just pop up. However its nice to know these fu*kers pay with their lives for the crimes they commit. It helps me sleep.

Also that Holy war comment? lol
Just because America is predominantly a Christian nation and the countries we are attacking are muslim doesn't make this a Holy war. We are not fighting them because their muslims we are fighting them because they are terrorists. Unfortunately in this case the terrorists are muslim. When we had the Kosovo war, we were protecting muslims. why if we want to destroy them. This comment is hilarious and so illogical. But got to give you props for trying to convince people with this cr*p.

The terrorists are the ones fighting a holy war, not America but the funny thing is the terrorists kill more muslims then christians so even that statement is not true.

I was referring to what the Taliban are chanting in the streets of Pakistan. They do tell the people it's a holy war and all but muslum must die.

Celinski yeah your right, they say it to get more recruits by trying to glorify their cause. My point was that realisticly its not a holy war the enemy just uses that as propaganda.

Also Celinski this was more for plk because he seems to believe this is also Americas reason. at least he made it seem like that.

The funny part is that the majority of the victims of the terrorists are muslims. That never ceases to make me laugh. Don't these wannabe Osomas notice that. Obviously they do they just don't care because deep down inside they know its out of hate and lack of self control that they kill, which ultimately stems from fear.

Looks like troops had started cleaning up.

Meanwhile in Pakistan, the army says helicopter gun-ships and artillery have pounded Taliban hide-outs on the border, killing up to 30 suspected rebels.

Fighting broke out after militants captured four trucks carrying supplies and ammunition for the paramilitary Frontier Corps and refused to return them.
