Yeah we have a immature MOD who seems to like editing my posts. But enlighten me as to why he has tanned skin.

the only posts that are modded are ones that dont follow forum rules.

Yes well I posted it is a possibility that he has Gypsy or even Tatar in his family. Tanned skin is not in polish genes. He asked a question and I replied. Based on the minorities in poland such as Gyspys or Tatars which are tanned and dark, I see no reason why this is not a possibility. Given his family had not left poland way back. Are we bias towards gyspys are Tatars? Does it offend MODs that a polish person could have either of these backrounds in them? If not I see no reason why my post was edited.

Teraz polska! ;)
Does it offend? not at all. only posts that do not follow forum rules are modded. If you cared to read them

I think a while ago there was a large number of indian people who lived in poland and merged with the general population so that's why some "polish" people are tan-skinned.

You're mom isn't really polish if she's only like 1% polish, so you can't really tell.

Wow. I worked outside a couple of days ago laying mulch down from 9 in the morning till 9 at night and I got a nice farmer's tan. I look like a dang redneck now.

Witek, there were always slavs there. Tatars and Indian people settled there along with some muslim people. That's why you have some tan skinned polaks. I am generally white as the driven snow, but I have a friend and she's tan (like constantly) and she says she's 100% polish. She's slready taken though. :(

Kazek,

Slavs emerged from obscurity when the westward movement of Germans and Celts in the 5th and 6th centuries AD started the great migration of the Slavs, who settled the lands abandoned by Germanic tribes fleeing the Huns and their allies: westward into the country between the Oder and the Elbe-Saale line; southward into Bohemia, Moravia, much of present day Austria, the Pannonian plain and the Balkans; and northward along the upper Dnieper river.

My entire family is from Poland and we are all pale but because we now live in Australia my skin easily burns but never tans. My dad spends many hours in the sun so he has developed a tan on his arms and legs. All of my cousins are polish too and they are pale aswell.

I think it depends on people, i don't think there is a typical Polish skin color...look at Swedish girls : some have tanned skin while others are quite pale...depends on people ;)

When compared to typical British and Irish complexion, yes, Polish skin is swarthy and gets a nice, even tan easily, from pale golden to brown olive. But then, we're not as dark as Southern Slavs can be.
