Tarnow Krakow roots

Hi - my father was a Polish serviceman who came to Bitain in WW2. I have only recently found out enough about him to start the search for his roots but have just about exhausted sources in Britain. I don't speak Polish but am trying to learn...very difficult.I have written to many Polish authorities and had a little success but also lost alot of pounds euros and dollars to undelivered replies, iffy researchers and blind alleys.

I might be able to help people looking for similar information to mine in the UK and hope to get some good advice on Polish searches.

I would love to find my grandparents graves and visit them on November 1st one year.
I am not in my first flush of youth so I am playing beat the clock in order that I can leave a Polish heritage for my children and grandchildren.

Flekron,

To help you we need: Name, Place of Birth, Dates etc.

Are you researching your family history or do you just want to find the cemetery.

Thanks for your reply Wroclaw - as I mentioned above, apologies for the slow reply due to email problems.
I am looking for my family roots and also to find my grandmothers grave. I have posted all the info and dates in a reply to JCSM , I hope it will appear in the forum.
Are the names familiar to you?
This is another long shot.
All the people and archives that I have approached have been very helpful but found nothing for me. My Polish is minimal and I translate all letters using a dictionary so I hope I haven't missed any gems in their replies!
Cheers
