Sad state of affairs that, I wouldn't even wear an england top esp since we humiliated them at Windsor Park but in saying that there are a lot of celtic fans who would wear a republic of ireland top before a scotland top due to some "history" that celtic players were overlooked in past scotland squads and the whole confused nationality that exists in the old firm.

Personally I think its a shame that NI doesnt get more support due to history. I like the whole "our wee country" and "sea of green" idea. They're a good wee team and the support they have is outstanding. I went to see them U21 NI vs. Germany in Lurgan last September and the hospitality was incredible. Wish there were more of you.

Having said that on my way to the germany vs. czech game in Munich I met a set of NI supporters from Kerry

Unfortunatly our little part of the world is split between supporting us and supporting the republic of ireland which is an even sadder state of affairs.

Yeah I think it is. Understandable that the folk in ROI support the Republic but up north should be NI. Guess its a bit hard for me to understand as I am not from here originally.

Might be off topic but do you support any of the league teams? Watched the Cup Final on Saturday between Coleraine and Linfield. Thought it was good enough game alright. Or maybe its just me being used to the rubbish football that is Athlone Town ......

Yeah I sort of have an interest in Linfield but thats only really as their managerused to live next door to me when he was still playing for Linfield and I still see him round the area and sometimes in my local, stops and talks away to me :)

Actually reading this thread I have to put some hol requests in as I think I'm working during on eof the Poland games :/

Aye he did, wind up merchant that he is, bit of an arse but tbh if the shoe was on the other foot I'd be laughing at it :P

I laughed when Gazza played his flute. I'm sure there are a number of people laughing at him now though.
