Owners should sue local police and authorities for not being abel to stop xenophobia, human rights violation, racism, UN resolutions, EU minority rights protection laws etc. If done well they could make big money... Less sophisticated solution - buy baseball bats.

sad indeed. makes me wonder if daily mail and that documentary on channel 4 had anything to do with it. these were only kids (16 and 18 years old) and i wonder what made them do it.

Well, you kind of answered your own question there. Other influences made them do it, whether it's the sources you suggest or that they've taken on the opinions of peers or family members. At those ages they have no reason to dislike Polish people other than they were "told" to by whatever source. That doesn't mean they were "told" to smash the shop up of course...

I wouldn't totally put this down to racism. The report states 'early on Saturday morning' which is late Friday night which almost certainly means alcohol fuelled insanity. British teenagers vandalise a wide variety of business just through a mix of boredom and stupidity.

Polish/Baltic/Slovaks are often referred to as 'Kosovo's' (not Kosovans!) whilst anyone from between Turkey and Burma is a 'Paki'.
At some level the media zenophobia is creating a tacit approval for such behaviour but lets not think any of these cretins ever read anything, ever.

No, you're right, alcohol and lack of supervision is a huge part in this. It was the second time in one week that this deli was attacked. Probably the same teens involved in both. Can't think why else the police wouldn't release them all...good they were caught on CCTV, not very bright then. Good they managed to get a whole...400 metres away before getting caught. A lot of thought went into that crime then... :/

Assuming they didn't know he was Polish before they stuck the boot in, saying it was racially motivated is just to help the crime get the headlines.

However, assault is assault. The guy's wounds aren't going to heal any quicker whether it was racially motivated or not.

They should still chuck these thugs in the slammer for a couple of years regardless of the motivation.

We're far too lenient on criminals like this.

There was a Latvian kid who worked at the same place as myself, Artjoms, he was punched and knocked down, banging his head on the edge of the kerb. It resulted in his death. He was 21 or 22 years old.
The real irony is that the 'True Brit' who punched him had never had a job, never paid tax, just collected state benefits his entire adult life.
It will be taxes from people like Artjoms that pay the £600 per week it will cost to keep this idiot locked up for the next two years (he got four).
I know who I'd rather have in this country.

I think that the saddest thing is that I grew up near Trowbridge, and while there were always a couple of "village idiots" it was generally a bit of a chilled out kind of place.

This country is getting more and more racist. I predict an eruption at some point. It's the government's fault. It's this mass immigration. Tolerance has its limits. Nobody should blame the migrants but instead they should blame the government. It's not just this Polish restaurant that was trashed up. They're petrol bombing mosques, leaving pigs feet and turd on the pathway to mosques. They're throwing bricks through muslims windows.

I read the bit about a shop window being smashed in a small town in England but I seem to have overlooked the part about impending armageddon and rivers of blood.

i think if nearly a million british came to poland u wud get more than the odd broken window i think this country is tolerant but decadent
