Oh my i need to start travelling there are so many people on here talking about diffeent countries and the places within countries at such a young age i have not experienced half as much as people on here xx

Sara. You're very lucky to be in the UK. You can just hop a cheap centralwings flight for cheap to anywhere in Europe...even for a weekend. I wish I was able to do that. Get out there!!

I have no confidence to just get up and do things like that alone hence the reason why i am still proply here - friend of mine don't even think about travelling xx

I think I like would like english weather if I were there. There is way too hot in the summer and too clold in the winter in Poland. And I like rain and steady weather. Weather in UK is good, in Poland its freak.

Of course we have hot and cold taps. It's just that many people in Poland have mixer taps.

It's become a cliche for pissed off Poles to say to anyone from the UK. Why do you have two taps ? It's a sort of put down.

I have noticed that in England there are more and more mixer taps.

Especially in new houses.

I quite liked when we stayed in Filey-Yorkshire- in old traditonal hotel and there were there 2 taps.
Litttle old fashioned but in nice way.

This is not a dig at anyone. It's just a thought.

They have used mixer taps in England as long as they have used them in Poland. We have a new bathroom suite [here in Poland] The wash basin has separate hot and cold taps.
Even some mixer taps are set by turning hot and cold taps which are fitted to the side of the appliance. Water doesn't just come out at the right temperature.

Mixer taps.........???...............I mean come on guys....get back to the thread......dig deep, come on!

Am in Ireland..........BTW, 'em, hard to say......there are lots of choices in London etc, economies of scale, things too do, but too congested.................

Also the English are tolerant.................but too a point, as long as you dont interfere in their lives!

It's true that London is too congested, and many other cities in the UK. I think it's an easier life in the south-west or north-east of England.

I don't know if I like it or not- I got used to it but why England wants to be so different to the rest of Europe?

I wouldn't say about driving on the left side but all little differences like:
- addresses- number of the street in the beginning not in the end, post code completely in the end
- 1 and 9- different handwriting than the rest of europe
- In the resturants waiters serving from left side........

Things are far too congested here in london, i live in central london just near London and Tower brige and it is simply murder coming too and from work!!!

Whilst visiting other countries it seems like such a shame london has become so busy - especially in rush hour when everyone is trying to get here and there, i can see why it could be intimidating to other people also x

True. But still they did force us to change the capacity of our alcohol bottles, from 0,75l and 0,25l to 0,7l and 0,2l, as it is the standard in EU.

Really? Well I like to see myself more as a happy drunkard rather than an alcoholic. And there is a huge difference between those two. A drunkard drinks because he likes it, and the alcoholic does it because he must!

PS: Oh and every self respecting drunkard must follow the rules of "kultura picia" (culture of drinking) otherwise he may end up as a plain boozer.

It's going to be a hard one fore me, as I'm a fashion retard , but I think that basically the thing that I enjoy the most in the style of British ladies is the way they can blend some old cloths, the ones that look as if they were just picked from their mothers wardrobe, with the new ones. It is a very intriguing combination...

Probably my explanation won’t satisfy your curiosity, but at least I gave it a shot.
