Well, I don't think it was the long-time Member you think (he nickame was removed). Currently there are about 100 unique people who visit this site every day from Australia alone. Admin

It's all good, Admin. but the guys I was thinking of have the same views, so they aren't that unique.

That was was my whole point----don't know why admin marked out the names I mentioned----like you said, all of you guys have similar opinions and aren't ashamed of it. Personally, I thought it was pretty funny and a humourous way for the author to express his/her view.

You mean you thought I had taken it seriously? Oh BW (shakes head), I thought you knew me better than that. The reason I said it was you originally, because I knew you had the same kind of sarcastic humor as the poster. Wasn't trying to knock anybody. As I said, I thought it was a pretty clever way to express a point of view.

Since we're on the subject, my mother's friend and therapist is a Nazi prison camp survivor. She tells stories of Jews helping herd Jews to their deaths. As a little girl she was bewildered and angry that these people could do such a thing, but came to terms later in life that these people were afraid and would do anything to save their lives or the lives of their families. Her stories are incredible... I'm pretty sure she has published a book or two on her experiences...

That's true. I misunderstood you before.

At minute i have decided that i will be visiting the following areas:
Gdansk
Torun
Poznan
Warsaw
Wroc³aw
Krakow and then
Zakopane

i feel that there is plenty to see and do in these areas .... i am now working out the length of time to be in each as i am going for about 3weeks anyways. Then i am just searching websites for accommadation at a reasonable price as mainly all i will be doing is sleeping there and holding my luggage there ... i will be eating primarily out and that
Also need to check PKP site and one of Polands coach/bus sites out for travelling between areas (as i dont drive) so the adventure should be fun and enjoyable well i envisage so hun. Lots of careful planning and mapping out plus i am taking my 9year old daughter with me for the experience as well and what better way to teach a child than actual be there in person beats a textbook any day of week.

But just watch out for those occasions when there is engineering works on the railway line. It has happend to me twice when there has been an announcement (which I could not understand) the train stops at the next station and most people get off. You think great loads of room on the train, then 5 mins later a guard comes down to get all the foreigners off and onto a bus!! I think the locals find it amusing....

Depends on the length of journey and number of changes etc. I generally prefer trains because there is more leg room and you can get up and have a walk about to stretch your legs.

tele,

Bus, tram tickets in Wroclaw cost 2zl, 1zl for kids. A one day adult ticket costs about 9zl. I think you'll find it cheap, but it does add up.

Buses from Wroclaw to nearby towns: I travel 30km to our other house. It costs 3.50zl. The train for the same distance costs 6zl.

Sometimes it can cost the same to travel 1km as it does 10km.

Long distance journeys will be different.

Tell us your plans and we will do the costs.
