Are the Poles in England hated?

And we can all believe exactly what the papers say!!? Some congregate together because they may not have adequate language skills to integrate or are new in the country. English people DO NOT ALL HATE POLES. That is rubbish. My friend has been trying to get hold a certain language course in England but it was so popular it was sold out. Why would English people be so interested in learning the Polish language if they hated Poles. Come on Zeus - grow up.

Also some towns have had Polish communities for decades. Barnsley has a 'Polish Club'. The area had many Polish settlers after WW2 who escaped Stalin and came to work in the coalmines.

Go where you please, but do keep in mind that it's true you lot aren't too popular, but then again, I don't think I would be too popular in Poland neither if all Dutch people came to Poland to undercut about the half of the already poor Polish workers?..

No hard feelings from me though, it's the same everywhere and I can't blame a fellow worker really..

In Wales there is a fairly large Polish community and I have to say that I really like their presence and have lots of admiration for their work ethic etc (I could go on because I really find some of them to be inspirational). I would really like to make friends with the polish community, as would some of my other Welsh friends, but to be honest they tend to keep themselves to themselves. Now although I do think that Zeus is a little crazy (Has he been prescribed anything for it?) I can see his point of view. It's silly for us brits to get on here and say that the whole of our country are in love with the Poles just because we like them or have polish friends etc. That would be disrespectful to the Polish people who do suffer at the hands of our fellow countrymen. I love the Polish and have no problems with them at all but of course I have heard MANY people around me complain that they are steeling their jobs etc etc many are not friendly to them and have no intention of being, and people are turning against our government because they have allowed so much immigration. It may not be how we Brits on this forum feel but it is how lots of others in the country feel lets not be naive/liars about this and tell poor Zeus that he is just delirious (extermely paraniod but not completely gone yet ;))

listen Zeus, as I said in my last post I do understand some of what you're saying it would be naive of me to say that everyone in Britian are in love with the polish people being here. I think this will be reflected when the results of the general election are announced. Yes there will be many other reasons why people will vote out a labour government but an increase in immigration will certainly be one of them. This is sad for us because a conservative government will pull us back from all ties with Europe which can only be bad news in the long run for the British economy and in actual fact SOME people here are too stupid to realise that although polish workers seem to be making things bad here in the short run they will strengthen our economy in the long run. So yes Zeus as I said earlier you do make valid points but to say that all British people hate the polish and insult them and view them as little more than slaves or prostitues is RIDICULOUS!!!!!! Just as stupid as if I said that all British people were open minded tolerant and happy for the poles to come and work here. All of the above said I AM someone who thinks like that. Long live the Polish in Britian, they can do nothing but good, a chance for us to experience new cultures, new ideas, new talents and virtues and God forbid a chance for us to do most un-british thing and learn another language.

I didn't say English loves Polish, I basically was trying to say that most British have a higher opinion of Polish people than you do, and you are Polish. You don't think much of your countrymen.

Of course I hated when I heard all the nasty stuff and things that the english used to say against myself and all my Polish friends.

...of course, you may have been in an area where the local youths would shout this abuse at anyone. You know if some Pakistani guys walked by, they'd get the same abuse. It's all about the people you meet and I just don't think you've met nice people. I'm sorry about that.

They were very awful.
They talked nasty very disgusting things about all Polish and I hated !!!

When we tried to integrated into leisure activities with them, the only answer we got was to be treated as we were not good enough. We all felt it not just me.. al of us!!
Was horrible. When we tried to integrate and play football we noticed that they cal us nasty adjectives and names.

We felt also in a nightclub in were they talked **** things about our Polish girlfriends. They disrespected them.
I could not support when they were hippocrites to us. They smiled at our faces and at our backs they laughed.

THat is the reason why! I think is a very bad idea to submit to the offers of the UK

I found a Polish delicatessen today, so I went in and greeted the lady in Polish.
She started talking, but I didn't understand her, so...

I started laughing at her, calling her various 'adjectives', smashed the place up with one of their own kielbasas, then left... still laughing.

The user 'espana' is an evil, twisted Spaniard, not English, although certainly corrupted by his English wife.
