The burger is not even American. It's ground beef. Thats been around longer than the US, and the only reason it's considered American is because a cowboy put it between two slices of white bread.

all very interesting.... i dunno why .... well some people warm up there milk... its just sorta polish... and warm glass withyou drink a honey for example... which is to help sore throats :) and it just stook like that so we drink warm milk ... as for me it doesnt matter i like both warm and cold.
as for bartering anything they buy... its because of all of the bazaars and stuff throughout poland and people may not be able to fully understand that its different in different coutries.
(my grandma still does that... just doesnt get it)
by opening up boxes in stores.... hmmm im not sure about that... but my mom always opens boxes that you can close again... like a normal box holding cups that you want to buy and you want to see how the cups look like and so on... i thought everyone does that? or like open your egg carton to see if any of the eggs are damaged... or is that just polish?
all the rest??? well i havent seen that yet.... but we learn something new everyday
oh ya ... opening shampoo bottles..... dont we all do that .... unless they're like sealed.... i mean we all wanna know what scent our hair will smell like ? but i agree with most of the polish stuff

I'm not Polish, and I open boxes to see what I'm buying, but only the kind that can be closed again like Polska mentioned, and yes I inspect my eggs too. I also open shampoo or soap bottles and squeeze it slightly to push the air out and get a whiff of what it smells like. One time though I did squeeze it a little too hard and ended up with shampoo on my nose. ;-)

nothing worse than getting home with cracked eggs... I check them, and I am not Polish.

And if I don't check them, the checkout clerk will...and if they are broken, she will send someone else back to the dairy case to get another carton, and then you have to wait longer. So, be smart...check the eggs. :)

im happy that its not just polish people who do that :) when i was younger and i went shopping with my mom for eggs i picked a random carton and put it in the cart.... when we got home we noticed that 2 of the eggs were cracked....:(
(i didnt know that we were supposed to look at them, but know i do! and its a good thing that many people do that)
