Third World War and the role of Poland

just a couple of days ago, Bush spoke about the possibility of starting a Third world War with Russia, Iran and China in one side, and Israel, USA and UK in the other (of course, with more allies of each of them, which we will wait and see).

If such an event takes place, what will be the role of poland? ... how will you cope with that situation....as obviously the main players will be USA - RUSSIA and CHINA.

We are no different and many of us would love to kill, harm and fight risking own lives. In case of war you are mentioning I think Poles would have no problem contributing and coping. We would love to kick Russian's ass for sure and I foresee no problem with motivating against China or Iran (here claim that they are Muslims would be easy to sell).
As for our partners in planned bloodshed (?) we'd love to fight arm in arm with USA and UK. Israel ? - well, we work it out in hope they would stop hating Poland.
I'm sure Bush didn't say it all, did he?

Your write about the major players, however the British have the best special forces in the world. We will have blown up important parts of their war machines before they even knew what hit them. :) I'm sure the Polish would be on the side of the "Allies" rather than that of the Rusky's. Although it would be strange to see you fighting alongside German soldiers!!!

maybe a bit of mutiny in the camp??? :)

ow ok i wasn't sure, i'm not 100% on my Polish history, lol. Still it would be a sight for sore eyes :)

I remember when i was younger staying at an army camp where my dad was based, I was talking with Polish pilots who were being trained by the British alongside some Germans. However i asked the Polish why they were not sitting with the Germans, and he said 'we just don't like them' Little did i know why at my ripe old age of 10. To think about it now actually its pretty shocking that so called allies still hate each other enough they can't sit over a meal in the mess hall!!!

To be honest, Poland should flip the bird to both sides... and fight with who ever disturbes us...

USA and UK sold us out to communist Russians after WW2..
Israel, they dont like Poland, and Poland dont like Israel.
Russia... do I really need to write anything haha ?

But of course this is not realistic =) :P Poland would join the "allies"... and her roll would prolly be to mess with Russia...

what can be interesting when we look on German KSK and Polish GROM , Germans are considered as pussies ;) and it is experts opinion ... maybe because we send our GROM where it is posible and they are one of the most expirienced special units all over the world ...

Uk in war against Russia, eh? I wonder what would be the EU decission. Hmmm... Either way, considering the history of poland in the XXth century it would be wise for us to try as much as posible to stay neutral in this conflict. Chivalry is long time gone. Let them big guys settle it on their own.

First of all, i don't believe that that kind of conflict would happen... but if... I think that Poland should wait for EU's and NATO's decision on what to do and definately try to stay neutral as much as it is possible. Taking under consideration the distance between Russia and Poland it wouldn't be wise to declare war on them. UK is on an island and USA is on the other sde of the pond, both far far away from Poland.

Let them major players, as tornado called them, bleed themselves dry.

if that kind of war would happen we are naturaly on side of UK or US ... I know our history and relationship are complicated (we have to change a lot in this case) but all in all we share the same values.

Russia is our natural enemy Russia isnt democratic, Russia is weak but it is noticable that when prices of oil increase they are more and more brutal and ignorant ... so it is our business to support all their (Russians) enemies...

That is why we support Ukraina that is why we support Gerogia (country near Russia) ... What is more we succesfuly torpeded EU project (mostly German) of EUR-ASIA, and in smoe cases we shouldnt wait on opinions of "big players" but just try to influece on EU policy because we are part of it ...

the role of Poland will be one big-ass target because now the world thinks for sure that we are gutless lovers of whatever garbage the USA shoves down our throats. Secret CIA jails? No problem! Send troops to invade Iraq? No problem! Send troops to Afghanistan (even though every other country on earth filed to pacify it)? Yes please! Pointless anti-missile rockets? Why the hell not, we agreed to literally everything else!!

Well what do you think=) Poland has an army... so the contribution would be from the simplest on-foot-solider to high tech military aircrafts and spec OPs teams..
Also I think Poland would be a bridge for the rest of the allies to attack Russia..

I'd like to see Marks & Spencer's special forces.
These are no ordinary special forces - hand-picked...
