Southern, I made no reference to germans or any stolen land, that I have no knowledge of, I am talking about Soviet time occupation. So no comment on that.

Sorry if you see I used the quote made by Michal.I did not refer to you.

Vicious Polonophobic insults

Well, to be honest, there are also many nasty statements toward foreigners on this forums so to be fair, don't be surprised that some people are fed up with that and make nasty statements about us.

Some years ago I was in Gdansk. We went by bus to the suburbs and missed our stop. We had to walk back but my God what a terrible place! The Old Square, much photographed may be nice but a few hundred yards outside and...oh dear...

We have EU money and Asian money coming in all the time

Yes, exactly, just what I have always said. Poland wants to be in the EU for one reason and one reason only-they want more of our hard earned cash. All EU membership means to the Poles is a twenty first centry Marshall plan!

Do you go about life expecting something in return for what you have given, if so you will live a very disappointed life.

I'm not saying I agree with his behavior, or that I condone it.
I just try to understand a little.
Sorry, it is the psychologist in me.

shopgirl, I understand your points, and feelings, and I have tried to understand
a little too. at one point thinking puzzler was actually a down to earth person.

but all of the sudden he turned again, on everyone. those he apologized to meant
nothing or he threw that right out the door after he decided to be puzzling again..
but his puzzling was calling people polonophobic and accusations to which he could
not prove or warrent even why he said it.. so yes, I am understanding the first time
but, if you realize your faults then do them again, and expect everyone to be nice
COME ON>>

I have sympathy too, but I limit it to those who really deserve it and those who
want and ask for trouble to come to them. they are on their own..

justyna, a good majority were asking questions and puzzler took these questions
and turned them into attacks " he claims" on poland. so he started calling people
polonphobics and asking people to prove themselfs and no one has to prove any
thing..

he was banned for his own actions, hes crying poor poor me. well behave puzzler
this wont happen then will it!

I am American-Polish, both g-parents and parents all polish, he started calling me
Polonophobic for my opinions , this needs to quit, really, I do hope he gets to read
this because he needs to see that he cant falsly accuse people of such things!!

I am with the admin on that one, if I was to say such things, then I would get banned
too, were all adults, and need to use discrection where its needed most.. he says
things without thinking. like about the American who died.. so with that I will get
going.. work again today :)

Yes, of course you are right. Poland joined the EU because it wants cash and to be more precise it only wants your cash. No other country has ever taken advantage of the vast EU funds to bring their country into the 21st century. As an example: Ireland never asked for anything, the money simply fell from the sky. We all know that the UK has paid huge ammounts into the EU and never taken a single penny back. Even in the days of the Common Market the UK was sure to give and never take.

I have visited towns like Czluchow, which were German before the war and sometimes the Germans come to see where they used to live. Come off it, Poland must be a dump or otherwise why do all the Polish young want to get out for good

They dont for one thing, they are working hard and saving! Maybe you should visit some other places in Pl because I found it a very clean and pleasant country, I have seen a lot worse in my own country and other cities abroad..

Welcome back Mr P, dont let the basta*ds grind you down :)

Poland joined the EU because it wants cash

What Michal doesn't seem to understand is that when Poland's economy get to a state where it is "thriving" it will be able to contribute back money into the EU, that can in turn help other countries in the EU!

How about adopting an attitude of teamwork? Isn't that what happens when you join a group or team? Isn't the EU called a "union". Think ahead a little!

If there is a country that will join the EU and can make it, it is more likely to be the Czech Republic rather than Poland.

I don't think so, because I think that Euro 2012 is going to pump in a lot of money via tourism. Let's watch and see what happens, OK? We can speculate all day, but events are unfolding as we speak.

Or do you mean that no member can scribble anything unpleasant aout another member? If so, you should ban, for example, daffy and BubbaWoo for scribbling at times extremely unpleasant things about myself.

I think that russians are exclusion...of course they have a right to scribble such thing about poles, though poles have a right to hate russians...we couldnt live without mutual insults

Constantine everyone has something to say, each history is written the way
they lived it, interpreted by future generations. tolerance is up to the individual.

Some of your comments were good.

A lot of Irish people are primitive and dirty, particularily farmers.
A lot of them are lower class and some of them even support the IRA.

But its always been my experience that no two peoples have understood each other as well as the Polish and Irish. Similar cultures and mentalities in many ways, simply the languages which separates us.

Lastly, I can't see how anyone could say Daffy's moderation is unfair.
To me he seems extremely fair and balanced.

And only a fool would question his love for Poland and all things Polish, I don't know him but its obvious in all his posts.
Calling Daffy a polonophobe is like calling Michael Jackons a childophobe - COMPUTER SAY NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! <COUGH>
