I think you need to live in Poland for at least 10 years to get it.

hi faisal, i also already married with Polish(civil). and i also want to make remanent residence, i will starting this monday. but to make remanent residence you have to married 1st. to married, you just need paper from your country that you don't have wife there. id card+copy, date of birth paper, paspor+copy. maybe also paper from your ambassy. but you need to translate those paper into POlish.

Why do you need a Polish nationality? You can apply for residency status which i bet is much easier and gives you teh same rights! the only exception is that you cant vote in election but i dont think it is a problem.

This agression will not stand, man. We don't hear you in here. TheDude thinks trolls like you are farts in the wind.

Why don't you worry about your own life and happiness man? I'd hate to have to go through life as you...sad people some of you are.

well, first of all you have to get married to a Polish citizen. then you need to apply for a residence at the local immigration departament. if it's approved first you'll get a temporary residence (usually for a year, so you'll have to apply again after that and they'll extend it for another year). after at least 3 years of marriage and 2 years of temporary residence you can apply for a settlement (a very nice man at the immigration informed me that there isn't such a thing as permanent residence but settlement- what's the difference? you tell me cause i see none). when it comes to citizenship i have no idea how it works, because my husband isn't interested in obtaining one as long as he's good to work in Poland. but he's American so he probably wouldn't trade his passport for the Polish one.
ps. it'll cost you 50 PLN for a residency card and 300 PLN when your application is approved. usually it takes about 2 - 3 months to proccess the application so if you come to poland on a visa ( or a three-month visa wiever program), don't forget to apply at least 56 days before your visa expires.
faisalonline78 i don't know if you want to do this because you're in love or just to get polish passport which will allow you to work legally in other EU countries. and i don't know if there are any rules at the immigation for the Pakistanis. my husband had no problems but he's an American and we had been married for 3 years when he applied for the residency for the first time and we already had a child. anyway goodluck to both of you. and about getting married, wouldn't it be easier to get married in the UK?
